Couldn’t put it down

This book is a sleeper!! The beginning is interesting - but after a few chapters, the story gains momentum and becomes a can’t-put-it-down!! Jake, the main character is likeable even when I wanted to knock him upside the head for being a bit dense.

Will M. Watt delivers a perfect performance, in bringing Jake to life. I believe this is one of his best performances.

Wish there were more like this

I like books about heists, capers, smugglers, etc., both true and fictional. This is a good one. The author doesn't seem to have written anything else along these lines but I am still going to try one of his other titles.

Exciting Action

The Desert Run was a completely engaging story that drew me in from the start. It is told in Jake’s very honest, almost endearing POV. He was a “hero” that I didn’t want to, but just couldn’t help but root for because of the illegality of what they were doing by running drugs.
There was at times heart stopping tension and also times of honest reflection.
I listened to this story on audiobook and loved it. The narrator really brought the characters to life!

The Desert Run

The first chapter in this pulls you in, but kind of lost me for a while. I stuck with it and about three quarters of the way in I was totally invested again. The ending was fantastic and makes the whole book worth getting.
The narration in this book was great! I loved the accent!

Riveting

I loved this book! Not a lot of stories keep me engaged, but this one I couldn't stop listening to. My first experience with this author, and I'll definitely be recommending!

Guy's kinda a sissy, takes him a while to Step Up....definitely worth a listen tho .. Good Story

First audio book

A surprising suspense read. Really enjoyed it and highly recommend audio. The narrative well done.
