Publisher's summary

When lives are at stake, you can’t always rely on others - there are some things you have to do yourself.

Rushing back from the NRU, Megan, Wyatt, and their party arrive to find anything but a warm welcome. Their home has been compromised by rogue soldier Neil Spraggat and a small army of men who are using the lodge as a base for a deadly operation. To make matters worse, during the takeover of the lodge, Megan’s daughter, Caitlin, and Wyatt’s mother, Rosie, were forced to hide in the root cellar to avoid capture.

The remaining members of the lodge reconvene at an old hunting cabin to hatch a rescue plan, knowing time is of the essence. With limited resources and manpower, they must face a highly trained elite military force - but Spraggat’s agenda is far darker than any of them could have imagined.

With the lives of her beloved daughter and newfound family hanging in the balance, Megan will only be able to rely on herself as the final step in America’s demise begins....

Finale

I am really enjoyed this series as has great characters and prepping. It is about survival after solar flare/EMP. The main character of Megan is basically a gutsy woman but has a good heart but many other likeable characters such as Rosie, Wyatt, Willow, Chas and Duke (dog) to name a few. This book is about saving Kaitlin and Rosie after Neil took over the lodge and bent on destroying the US with help of Russians. Loved the ending. Highly recommend reading/listening to all 5prior books to really get to know the characters and their scary adventures. Recommend to anyone who likes Dystopian. Is this the end?

The audible summary kinda says it all. This book picks up right where book 5 left off. Although it is not nice to loose characters, I like the way this series is realistic in that not all people make it through each confrontation. It would be too convenient if they could sneak in, sidestep a huge elite armed force, and get out without any losses.
I did not find Megan as irritating in this book as I did the previous. Her dialogue was a lot less repetitive.
I enjoyed the ending and think it was a good conclusion to the series. I’ve only listened to book 5 and 6. Now I need to start at book 1.

The narrator once again provided an excellent performance. All the characters had distinct voices and he brought out their personalities well. Even the female voices were well done. I would listen again to another book by this narrator.

There are no explicit sex scenes or excessive violence or swearing.

great book

I'm so sad that this is the last book in this series. One of the many reasons I enjoyed this series is the knowledge I gained along the way! The author took this group on one help of a ride and while some parts were sad, the ending was perfect!

Appropriate finale to post-EMP series

Megan and the surviving lodge members have, up to this point, been through the worst kind of hell. Not only has the EMP erased their chances of ever living ''normally'' again, but they've lost so many people they cared about. After journeying back home from the NRU debacle, Megan's group finds their lodge occupied by an unwelcome and well-armed militia. Avoiding another shootout in their weakened state, Megan flees into the cover of the forest. The group endures sub-standard living conditions while they rest and recover, but soon they're plotting a strategy to retake the lodge. Time passes, faith dwindles, and the group is unsure whether or not they'll ever find hope again. Will Megan and her friends muster the strength to fight one more battle? The battle for their future?

Grace Hamilton's EMP Lodge series offers all readers an introduction to basic survival tactics, handy even without the pesky post-apocalyptic event. I've had fun listening to this series and praise Andrew Tell for his narrative performance throughout. Overall, a well written book series appropriate for teens and adults.

Excellent Series Finale!

Dark Revival: EMP Lodge Series Book 6 by Grace Hamilton and narrated by Andrew Tell. This is the final book in the series. This story picks up right where the last book ended, with the group split in two. Half the group in danger from the NRU after being duped by Neil into taking the silver case to the NRU in hopes they would trade that for medical care for baby J.J at Megan’s insistence. So they were on the run from the NRU, racing back to the lodge where Neil was with their family. Neil was a dangerous man who was not who he said he was and his case helped destroy the NRU and made them some of the most wanted people in what was left of America.

At the lodge, Albert caught Neil using the ham radio without asking and speaking Russian. At their evening meal, Albert confronted him and Neil pulled a gun on the remaining members of the family at the lodge. And so this is when the Story really begins and Megan and everyone pushes themselves to their personal limits to make a 7 day march back from Ravenna in 3 days. Grace Hamilton has really crafted a well-rounded story and series. I will admit my personal frustration with the character of Megan. She drives me nuts and still does at times especially in this book. At times it is like over the 18 months so far in the apocalypse she has learned nothing for all she claims to understand she can’t do everything alone and needs other people and needs the support offered by others. The story is good though because it evokes thought and emotions in the listener and makes a person think and react to the story.

The narration by Andrew Tell was very enjoyable. Mr. Tell has narrated the entire EMP Lodge Series with the same High-quality vocal talent that he is very well known and respected for in this field of endeavor. He is able to get the listener to find the children endearing, Neil despicable, Megan the heartfelt reluctant hero, with ease and grace. Mr. Tell holds our attention in rapt awe listening to characters through 6 books as Ms. Hamilton crafts a unique world with a true beginning and end. This is a rare achievement for an author in the Post Apocalyptic Genre. Once again the production quality from Relay Publishing was excellent creating an amazing final installment to this series. awe... its over

I really loved this series. I would recommend it. It has a great story lines, and lots of action, without forgetting to to develop the story line and characters. I think my all time favorite character is Rosie. She's just a wonderful chick. She also has a ton of knowledge.
This is a great series but this book is not a standalone book. I would start from book one it's well worth the read.
This book wraps everything up nicely. And I love that we get a glimpse into their future.

Andrew Tell did a fantastic job throughout the series.
