Adam Rawn wasn't looking for a sub when he went to the new club, Chained, with his friend, Rick Winter. Not exactly anyway. But he wasn't adverse to it. Angel has been interested in BDSM for a while, but her friends who would understand her desires are several states away, and although she's finally ready to explore her fantasies, she feels she has to do so on her own. Her closest friends in town are guys who would never understand, and her best friend, Leigh, already has a boyfriend - a rather territorial one. Nervous about going to a BDSM club, afraid that she might be putting herself in a bad situation as an unattached submissive who's completely new to the scene, Angel decides that the safest way to explore being in public is as a Domme. That way, she can get used to the club scene and watch out for common pitfalls, keeping herself in a position of power until she feels comfortable enough to know what she's doing. Although she eventually wants to join Stronghold, the club closest to her home and with the best reputation, she makes her debut into the BDSM scene at Chained, a new club that's far enough away she feels safe enough to lie about her preferences and present herself as Mistress Angela until she's done some exploring.

When Angel finally feels comfortable enough to make her way to Stronghold as a submissive and Master Adam recognizes the "Domme" that he's been obsessing over, the result is explosive.

GREAT SERIES BEGINNING

I LOVED this book. I love the camaraderie among this tight group of friends and the feel of getting to know all of the characters as the story (and series) continue. Angel and Adam were strong and sweet and amazing and fun and genuine. It was also a great look into the BDSM scene, which I had not been familiar with before. I look forward to listening to the rest of the books in this series!

Good Character Building and Detail

If you could sum up The Sassy Submissive in three words, what would they be?

Realistic story about someone's entrance and exploration of 'The Scene' with a realistic romance intertwined. Some definitely hot and steamy elements along with sweet.

Any additional comments?

I was a bit happily surprised at the length of this book (15+ hours), which often leads to good story and character development. Golden Angel did just that with her attention to detail. My only critique (and it probably more of a personal one than to the masses), is that it almost took too long for the couple to finally get together. After the very first time they met, it took another 3 hours of listening for them to meet again. That is a lot of anticipation! There was a bit of repetitiveness in the character's thoughts (e.g. a review of their behavioral intentions) throughout the book that I thought were unnecessary but overall, I was happy with the reasoning behind why characters were doing certain things which lead to a more realistic story in the end. Great job, Golden Angel! I would definitely listen or read her other books based of the good quality of writing and storytelling.

I loved this book !

I loved listening to Adam and Angel as they learn about each other and fall in love . I was laughing so hard that my grandson came running into my room to see what was so funny. When I told him I was listening to a book he said no book is that funny but he is so wrong ! I think Golden Angel is such a talented author . I love all her book I've read so far and I'm thinking this may be the best one so far ! If you don't like spanking then this book isn't for you but if you like sexy love scenes then you should read this anyway. It's so worth buying . This is one of those books I'll probably listen to over and over again! Ok Angel when is it Rock's turn ?
