Tillie Winchester's past is about to come back to haunt her, and what she sees as fun and games someone else sees as a recipe for murder. When a local woman is poisoned at Hemlock Cove's senior center, Aunt Tillie is the prime suspect. Bay, Thistle and Clove don't believe their great-aunt is guilty - although Thistle is fine if the police want to haul her away for a long weekend.

Everyone in town is suspicious, but things spiral out of control when FBI Agent Landon Michaels' boss believes he can't be objective where his girlfriend's family is concerned and sends another agent to lead the investigation.

The new agent is gung-ho, headstrong, and making witchy enemies at every turn. When the investigation turns to the past instead of the present, Aunt Tillie refuses to talk and a long held Hemlock Cove secret risks being exposed. Bodies start piling up as old grudges overlap with new clues and the Winchesters are caught in the crossfire.

Bay is determined to clear her great-aunt's name but even she has her doubts when the victim's ghost points a finger ...directly at Aunt Tillie. It's all hands on deck for an explosive showdown that proves some secrets are best left buried. Bay just hopes she won't end up buried, too.

I always enjoy each new installment. Amanda M. Lee has a brilliant mind and always comes up with new ideas for her quirky characters. Hollis McCarthy, as usual, brings it all to life. If you like paranormal mysteries, you enjoy this series.

Aris is the best narrator by far. It's hard to get used to this narrator once you've listened to half the series with Aris. May not listen to the rest of the series for this reason.

Hard to listen to with current narrator.

Would you be willing to try another one of Hollis McCarthy’s performances?

NO!

Any additional comments?

The change in narrator is so GLARING! It is impossible to hear the story. The narrator makes several of the characters sound the same and when they are in a conversation, it is difficult to know which character is speaking. After 7 books with Aris, changing the narrator is HORRIBLE!

Don't change Narrator

I have read many reviews from the people that love this series and I will say that I am very disappointed in THEM. Hollis McCarthy is NOT a horrible narrator she is just different than what we are used to hearing. The reviewers were harsh and I believe very very unfair. The story is absolutely wonderful and the performance was dang good even though it WASN'T what I was used to. I think she did a great job especially knowing she would be going up against someone that did the first seven books. I would encourage anyone to listen as it IS good. Thank you.

Great book!
