Don’t use a credit!

While this short story is very well done and wonderfully performed it is much too short to waste a credit on. Being a huge fan of both the author and performer I failed to check the recording length. My bad but you have been forewarned.

It ended like that. really? It was super abrupt. I suppose it's a good thing that I wanted more.

Fantastic short book! Leaves you wanting more!

I normally don’t get books that are about an hour or so, but since it was Andy Weir, I felt I would give him a chance. The three short stories that make up this book are really great, and proves that Mr. Weir can write not only a full length complex novel, but also has the talent to develop a story and its characters very well, all in a matter of just a few minutes. Another winner from a fantastic author! The narrator is also extremely good at performing this book. He’s able to hold your interest and focus, and really proves how adept he is a changing characters and situations. This book is definitely worth the listen! And a small price to pay for a great piece of entertainment. Hope he author writes some more short stories in this genre and with these characters. A follow up would be wonderful.

A Clever Holmesian Twist

Would you listen to James Moriarty, Consulting Criminal again? Why?

I would totally listen to this again. As a fan of Sherlock Holmes, the world of Arthur Conan Doyle is very familiar. What we don't get enough of is consideration of the villains. This was a great twist on a story world we know well.

What did you like best about this story?

The short vignettes were perfectly framed to explore Moriarity. As consulting criminal, he really stands out as a way to bring the criminal underworld to life.

Which character – as performed by Graeme Malcolm – was your favorite?

The assistant!

I enjoyed this very much. I thought the stories were clever and the narration was perfect. I loved the subtle reference to Sherlock Holmes in the last sentence and hope it does mean more to come. I wish Andy Weir wrote more books!
