LOVE IT ~ BUT THIS SHOULD BE A THREE BOOK SET

Lili Valente really threw in some surprising plot twists in the second installment. She built me up, and then broke my heart! My only complaint is having to buy three books to get the full story. Each book so far ends on a WTH cliffhanger! That's so frustrating, but I'm loving the story!

Erin Mallon and Lance Greenfield performance was AWESOME! This duo is like dynamite, they blow me away with their performance! The story's good, but they made it GREAT!

I hate serials...

...you know the books that are not full books? Doesn’t matter, my rule is a book that isn’t 330 pages isn’t a book work a good review.

I never expected to run into one that is just amazing. Yes, this is book two of a three per serial but it is one of the best books I have read (or listened to) in a year, easily.

In some ways it seemed like this book was rushed in areas, but I can’t help but wonder if that’s just because I didn’t want the book to end. Would it being longer have diminished its effect? I don’t know but I do know this book, this series, is damn good. Amazing really.

What a page turner even though I was listening to it there were times I just had to sit down because I was so shocked.

Bk 2 Deadly love

In book 2 Caitlin and Gabe have grown to love each other. Caitlin with her broken family and so much love is reaching out to Gabe who has never known anything about a loving family home.

In spite of the secrets, Caitlin and Gabe fall hard for one another. Then their history comes back to haunt them and it isn't clear who's know's what. What was once thought as a fun and a righteous strategy starts to turn deadly.

Lance Greenfield and Erin Mallon execute this story again to the point where I am instantly ready for book 3 in this trilogy because of the cliffhanger.

tissues are must

Lili Valente must be related to evil incarnate. Why else would she want me balling my eyes out almost the entirety of this book?!?! She must thrive on the pain of others. Or shes just that good at destroying the fragile hearts of her readers?

I'm going with the latter. A Love So Deadly was an emotional and devastating book. My eyes and head hurt. My heart hurts. All that's left is hope and even that's iffy right now.

I am not wanting to even walk away and cook dinner. the 2 main characters have gone through so much and right now I am really looking for a happy ending

The most emotionally difficult, of the series!

This was the most difficult listen, in this series. One reason is that none of the reviews have any hints that their would ultimately be a HEA. ( I had to cheat and listen to part of the epilogue to be sure, before continuing) Childish, I know, but I have listened to similar stories that ended tragically and that’s not what I want, from a romance. I would listen to a true crime or a biography if I want reality instead of escapism.
So fair warning, part two will not leave you smiling and content but, getting to part three will be your reward.

The narration of all three parts is outstanding so even though part two isn’t emotionally pleasing, the narration makes the difficult journey more enjoyable.

Absolutely fantastically heart wrenching

What an amazing book! The first book was kind of dark and twisted, but sweet at the same time. This one started that way, but then wrecked me. I cried for a good 20 minutes and then had to step away from listening for a couple days.
That’s definitely the sign of great writing and a fantastic story, when you get so caught up that you have to take some time to deal with the storyline! And the narration, especially by Erin...just wow! She made me feel every single thing Caitlin was going through. Whew, what a roller coaster!
And the lies and deception in this book... It’s so hard not to have spoilers. But have some tissues ready and your emotions ready for some turmoil from start to finish!
I can’t wait to listen to the next one!

You know a book is good when you have been talking to yourself about everything going on.

Man oh man. I writing this with 30 minutes left in the audio book but this book is just sooo good. I cant wait to listen to the next one. I love love love Gabe and Caitlin. I couldn't even imagine this book going where it went. The lies, the darkness, the deception. This is the type of dark book I like. A couple being dark together not the man dark towards the woman. If you haven't started this series start it today.

The audio book is the best. I love Erin Mallon and Lance Greenfield in this series. They are the best.
