Good foundation for any business not just cyber security.

Good overview of IT and not just security. I wasn't sure at first but ended up really liking this book.

A Book That Explains it All

Dr. Mansur Hasib addresses every issue that IT/InfoSec professionals and non-IT/InfoSec professionals should know about. Dr. Hasib goes into great detail to explain compensation, reporting structure and the why behind hiring certain positions. Boards and senior management should use this book as a guide to help propel their organizations towards sustainability during this time of exponential growth in technological advancement.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this to colleagues involved with Cybersecurity. It was well written and organized. Often practical/technical books don't work well as audiobooks, but this one did. I also appreciated the academic manner in which he cited references. This was extremely helpful as it allowed deeper reading on the subject matter.

What other book might you compare Cybersecurity Leadership to and why?

It had the feel of non-fiction works by academics like Peter Drucker.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

One of my best takeaways was Dr. Hasib's definition of Cybersecurity. It does a great job of blending business and security in a manner that does not strike fear in executive management, but rather makes Cybersecurity a strategic partner in reducing risks to the business.

A fresh look at leadership for a changing world.

This is not simply a book advising on cyber security tactics or choosing technology controls. Dr. Hasib takes us deeper into what it means to be a leader and clears away many misconceptions between leadership and management. Additionally, as ethics and integrity directly impact an organization's level of risk these traits are a common theme throughout his book. I highly recommend Cybersecurity Leadership for anyone functioning in a leadership role.

I was truly amazed with the ideas, concepts, executive guidance, and mentorship of how to be a highly effective leader for the C-Suite. Mansur has a very brilliant mind, yet the type of leader that everyone aspires to be a “servitude” type of leader. Mansur delivers executive maturity and political savviness to elevate anyone’s career that takes the time to listen or read this outstanding book.

Amazing book both on Cybersecurity, which is both a technological as well as people & business process, in addition to leadership. I would recommend this both for technology as well as non-technology leaders or those who are looking to grow into those positions. The book is well written, researched and presented out. It demonstrates that security comes from the combination of people, process and technology and should be ingrained into the business from the ground up, and demonstrated from the leaders from the top down.

Comprehensive & Motivating

Wow! I really got addicted to this book. One chapter lead to the next and the next. I couldn’t put it down. Given my decades of experience in industry at many levels and in many job functions, I recognized how comprehensive were the many areas Dr. Hasib covered. This was a great work in that it had all these areas in one place. I loved that it was narrated by the author because of the very personal examples that he experienced and shared. I could hear his passion and how he lived, learned from and in some cases were surprised by the experiences and their outcomes. It was very clear how essential integrity and innovation are and that everyone is a leader and can motivate. Those examples made it very real and they also very nicely reiterated what the author was teaching us in the book; very skillful reinforcement.
