Narration does NOT get better

I love this book so much that I purchased the Audible version even though I was unimpressed by the sample. This was a mistake. This narrator has COMPLETELY missed the characterization and tone of this book. She has taken a great story and made it sound silly. I am truly sorry to have to say that, but I would hate for others to spend the money to buy such a disappointing audio book or, worse, to rely only on this audiobook to judge the author’s work. Great book, but stick with print or Kindle.

What does Renee Raudman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She just gets the author(s) and can read it perfectly. Great narrator!

I just enjoyed it so much, I hated having it end.

Excellent book with the wrong cover!

Add me to the list of people who AVOIDED reading this book for far too long based purely on the cover. Somebody messed up big time because this book is awesome and not a bodice ripper. All lovers of Ilona Andrews proceed without fear!

Never doubt the brilliance of Ilona Andrews

It’s Ilona Andrews. You’ll love it. I love it. Why did I wait so long to listen to this? Because I was temporarily insane and stupid.

I don’t love Rene Raudman. For me me she sounds a little weird, like an old lady. But the brilliance of her narration and Ilona Andrews I get past it quickly and enjoy the story.

I vow to never to postpone another Ilona Andrews and Rene Raudman again!

Absolutely loved it! Can’t wait to get my hands on the next installment. Interesting storyline, lots of action and MCs are great.
