Love the ‘cool girl’ monologue

I was pleasantly surprised by this book, it really woks well as a portrait of ‘love among the imperfect’.

AMAZING STORYYYYY AND AUDIBLE <3

This audible story was superb. The story itself was truly mysterious and was nail biting till the end.. And as for the narrators, they were amazing THUMBS UP!!

Not your typical "whodunnit"

It took me a few chapters to get into this book. When I started listening I thought I had bought a romantic novel with a sicky love story.. Girl meets boy, blah, blah, blah.. I nearly stopped listening, but pushed on because I was on a road trip. Well, what can I say! It turned out to be fantastic.. So push through and enjoy!!!

I would have preferred a better ending

Surprising. Not your run of the mill mystery.

Would you listen to Gone Girl again? Why?

No, but that's because it wouldn't hold me in suspense to the same degree. I don't regret listening to it at all, in fact I found it making me reassess things in my life. I was expecting more of a mystery, and found that it was more a critique of human nature along with some mystery. It was very entertaining.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Gone Girl?

Would love to say, but it would be a spoiler. Just listen to it!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, I found myself quite drawn into the characters lives and at time it made me very angry and at times very sad. Quite a powerful book that really makes you consider how human relationships work.

I really didn't want to stop listening at the end of each train ride, I wanted to delve deeper. Definitely not a book to start listening to if you are about to be distracted from listening for awhile!
