first book was better

struggle to finish it, storyline could of been better but chose to keep it easy

an interesting perspective

it was very interesting to have the story's main character speak from a native perspective

I wish it was longer. I love the description, it really makes you feel like you're there.

Good story but anticlimactic. Very well read and articulated langues. Left me hoping that there are follow up books.

Not nearly as good as Aztec

I am a big Gary Jennings fan. Aztec and the Journeyer are 2 of my all time favorites. I just felt that this book fell short of getting you to identify with and connect with the characters. Maybe it was the difference, between the reading and listening, or even comparing it with Aztec, but I just didn’t really love this one. I still think that the creative writing was incredible and the way Gary brings images to life is great.
