Publisher's Summary

With the romance of The Selection and the epic stakes of Red Queen, Amy Tintera's New York Times best-selling Ruined trilogy continues with the thrilling young adult fantasy Avenged.

Emelina Flores has come home to Ruina. After rescuing her sister, Olivia, from imprisonment in rival kingdom Lera, Em, along with Olivia, vows to rebuild Ruina to its former glory.

But their fight has only begun. Olivia is determined to destroy everyone who acts against Ruina. Em isn't as sure. Ever since Em posed as Prince Casimir's betrothed in Lera, she's started to see another side to this war. And now that Cas has taken the throne, Em believes a truce is within reach. But Olivia suspects that Em's romantic feelings for Cas are just coloring her judgment.

Em is determined to bring peace to her home. But when winning the war could mean betraying her family, Em faces an impossible choice between loyalty and love. Em must stay one step ahead of her enemies - and her blood - before she's the next victim in this battle for sovereignty.

I can't wait for the next book!

This series is phenomenal! I highly recommend it! Similar to the Girl of Fire and Thorns series.

Such a great adventure

Some say this is a filer book but I disagree. You get to know even more of the characters and yes, it’s well written/great description. This took me awhile to read but I re-read/re-listen in order to comprehend what’s really going on. I have to say, it’s not boring, it’s many secrets revealed, love blooms, and side characters are such a bonus!!! I just get very excited each page because it kept me on my toes. Keep in mind, this is taken place in medieval times and must be into that. You will receive a good journey of thills, a little of romance, and suspense. The narrator is perfect fit...yup, Lovely as always!

Almost DNF

This series is no for me. The writing itself is very basic, writing for beginners. I almost DNF book 2 and I’m not getting book three even if book 2 ended in a sort of cliffhanger. I found that the only interesting character was Eren but the character still wasn’t enough to reel me in. Meh!!

a good continuation

there are some romantic thropes but they did not ruin the story. the magic in the story seem over powered though.
