When a finely wrought silver sleigh figurine turns up in her thrift shop, Lori Shepherd recognizes it instantly. It was the object that mesmerized the sweet but very poor nine-year-old Daisy Pickering at Sproggton Manor, the bizarre Jacobean house-turned-museum Lori recently visited with her twin sons. Hoping to avoid any real commotion, Lori decides to speak with the museum curator, who turns out to be oddly uninterested in the theft. But there’s not much that could be done anyway for the Pickerings seem to have come into some money and moved to Australia.

Absolutely dreadful narration
What disappointed you about Aunt Dimity and the Next of Kin?
I made it to chapter 2 and could no longer listen to the primary school standard of reading, My 6 year old grand daughter can read aloud more intelligently. Can't really comment on the bit of story I listened to but seems a bit bland.
Has Aunt Dimity and the Next of Kin put you off other books in this genre?
Definitely
Would you be willing to try another one of Teri Clark Linden’s performances?
No
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Aunt Dimity and the Next of Kin?

What superb story ruined by awful reader
What did you like best about Aunt Dimity and the Next of Kin? What did you like least?
The reading was flat uninteresting slow and very poor
What other book might you compare Aunt Dimity and the Next of Kin to, and why?
I have really enjoyed reading all the books of Aunt Dimity and the narration is so bad it ruined it for me
