If you liked The Da Vinci Code, The Celestine Prophesy, the Sigma Force Series, and The Relic Hunters, then you'll love Atlantis: The Akashic Trials

An unleashed ancient power. Fatal tests of virtue. Could you survive the Akashic Trials? There is something so intoxicatingly familiar about Doctor Luke James. Never did Lee think the live stream she runs with her narcissistic ex, Austin, would lead her to him or the lost island of Atlantis. Yet, much like her recurring invasive nightmares, it all seems fated.

Lee and Austin have created success by live-streaming their adventures in retrieving stone skull artifacts from ancient ruins. Luke and his archeological research team, Indigo Deep, call upon the stream's internet celebrity to broadcast the return to the recently discovered lost island of Atlantis. There, they hope to open the mysterious Hall of Records.

However, it is not as simple as turning a key. Trapped, the group must undergo the horror of seven deadly trials designed to test mortal worth. Together, Lee and Luke must somehow survive, relying solely on their otherworldly connection and the critical realization that the Hall was closed for reasons directly connected to them."

This book has a very good story. An absolute different way to represent the story of Atlantis combining it with reincarnation. It was very well written and presented.

I received this audiobook at my request free for an honest review.

I, like a lot of people love the idea of Atlantis, so any SciFi references are must reads(listens) for me.
The overall story was good. There’s quite a bit of adventure and romance, but I felt like there was a bit too much filler that didn’t need to be there and made the storyline drag, and like a lot of new series the end comes fast and there’s a lot of unexplained things that hopefully will get lined out in the next addition. I thought the ending could’ve have been better and still left room for future volumes.

The narrator was fantastic. Very well spoken and well prepared. She seemed like she had read the book and knew exactly where the nuances should be.

Not a bad start to the series
