Charles Henstock, vicar of Thrush Green, is living in his new vicarage after the old one burned down. Miss Read's Thrush Green series is a favourite. Good clean village life. Something I can listen to at work as a school librarian without worrying about children hearing unsavoury stuff. I've lost count of how many times I have listened to and read these books.
