Fantastic and educational

Narrator, a voice you trust, educates, and entertains. An author who is so clever with his words, you forget you are hearing an educational book. This book is a win for parents and a win for young folks.

Well written for anyone to understand

The target audience is clearly for younger children, but it may be a good starter for adults as well who don't like a lot of scientific lingo nor math. I personally like it because it's included in my audible membership. Most of NGT's books need to be purchased or credits available. This book breaks down astrophysics in a very elementary way and the narrator reads it well in a similar style as NGT himself. 5 stars.

Exactly what a young explorer needs

Very informative and great explanations for young individuals and for an adult who may not know any science when it comes to astrophysics

I Wanted to Love It... But

Neil DeGrasse Tyson is one of the best writers, if not the best writer, of science for the layperson. And I have always enjoyed LaVar Burton's work so I had very high hopes. But unfortunately, the best way I can describe the narration is choppy. I could not get past it, so as good as the writing is I found I could not finish this audio production.

Please no

Narrator has the most distracting voice. I’ve listened to NDGT’s original at least 3x; I bought this for my niece and won’t be sharing it with her. Thanks for using female pronouns yet cannot get over weirdest syncopation, beat slam read voice, it needs to go... yikes, let’s pls. have own voice going forward!

Excellent Content & Performance!

I can't imagine a better book on astrophysics for kids (or adult beginners!). The reading was incredibly impressive and brought the content to life.
