Publisher's summary

When a high-tech assassin is captured by a lithe little teen and her thugs, Vaya Sage questions his memories and launches the messiest blood bath of his career. But will the reality he unravels be less believable than memories he never questioned?

Although short, this novella packs a punch as it explores the inevitable challenges of a futuristic world where memory implants, memory erasures, and maybe even magic are a reality. Action-packed with carefully researched world-building, Assassin Hunter will leave your brain scrambling to vainly guess the ending while hanging on the edge of your seat.

Evocative futuristic spy vs spy story

It's about an assassin so don't but surprised by
the violence but realize assassins don't
discriminate by your target's gender.

Fantasy or reality

A pretty cool sci-fi story that will keep you guessing what is real and what is fabricated in the mind of an assassin. Be ready for a rollercoaster ride. I received a complimentary audio and this review is voluntary.

Assassin and complex secrets

Received as an audio review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest review. Narrated beautifully by Julian Pearson, comes a story that leaves you questioning the difference of right and wrong. What an amazing story this is and Vaya Sage is a brilliantly complex morally gray character. Cleverly caught in a trap, the assassin Vaya Sage finds himself forced to take out prominent and powerful fellow assassins... while making good money at the same time. And while Vaya finds it rather easy to complete these job, the man struggles with conflicted feelings of ruthless murders; as Vaya steps closer to claiming Ji Anna, he discovers a truth of the woman behind the demand of skills... and twisting the whole story on its head. A wicked smart journey. Highly recommended.

A captivating story that had me pondering after.

ok so I didn't know what to expect from this story but wow was it worth the listen. first off the vocal performance just had me hooked. it was like I was so smooth and just had me enthralled.
the story was a whole different level of telling. I didn't expect the twist and turns of the story. I still find myself questioning the motives and reasons of the characters.
character development was so perfect. it was like John wick where you feel the lives and backgrounds of certain characters you just want to know more.
such a amazing book and audio book definitely must get and read and listen.

Cool short story

I enjoyed how interested I got, trying to figure out the truth along with him. I love it when you feel drawn into the story. As if you're a member of the cast, right alongside the characters.

What you know/remember may not be real!

Listening to Assassin Hunter was an interesting experience. From the story’s start I felt like I had been dropped into the middle of an ongoing story, then as it progressed, I began to see how it was about the main character Vaya Sage’s memories being altered. The story has a considerable amount of action and some intrigue as it applies to Vaya Sage and his memory – short and long-term. For me the narration was problematic. The announcement that the chapter had ended was odd to say the least, but what I really found off putting was the narrator possibly having something in his mouth as he told the story. It sounded like he had a lozenge of hard candy in his cheek as he spoke.
