Publisher's Summary

At the age of thirty-two, former cheerleader Ashley Jacobson isn't old, but in the modeling world, she might as well have dentures and a wheelchair. Finally realizing that her runway dreams will never come true, she returns to her hometown of Burnt River and the loving arms of her aunt, who has always been there for her.

Josh Wright is looking for a fresh start of his own. Widowed at a young age, he's now navigating life alone, in need of a new job and a new place to live. He knocks on Ashley's door early one morning looking for a haircut, and the sparks begin to fly instantly.

But everything worth having comes at a price ...

Great story in the Burnt River Series

This is a sweet, shorter story about Ashley and Josh who have both experienced heartbreak, and their road to a happier life through resilience and hope. All Amelia Adams’ stories have just the right amount of humor. I enjoy Amelia Adams’ writing, and recommend this series.

Quick, light read

The story and romance were very sweet. I felt like the problems were resolved a bit too quickly and easily. But if you’re looking for a sweet romance, this is a good one.
