In the charming Lake Harriet neighborhood in Minneapolis, MN, where we first met Kristen, Ryan, and their beloved dog, Sam, in Walking Sam, we meet another couple who are struggling to find true love.

Mallory Dawson is planning the winter wedding of her dreams. She's found a wonderful man to share her life with and is looking forward to a promising future together. But one month before her wedding, she runs into the man she once loved, who she hasn't seen in 10 years. Soon, her entire life is turned upside-down.

James Gallagher fled to California 10 years ago to start over after the love of his life, Mallory, refused to marry him. But when his dad passes away and his mother becomes ill, he returns home to help run the family business. Seeing Mallory again brings a flood of memories back, and he begins to wonder what his life would have been like if he hadn't left.

Will the wedding go on or will fate play a hand in Mallory's happily ever after?

Sometimes fate steps in at the right time. That's all I'm gonna say. Enjoyed this novel by Deanna. I've read a few of hers and this one was my favorite.

As the Snow Fell: A Lake Harriet Novel was a great read by Deanna Lynn Sletten. Mallory has been planning her winter wedding when she comes face to face with someone from her past. She ran into the man who she used to love. With him coming back into her life everything has been turned upside down. I loved Mallory and James’ story. I can’t wait to read more by Deanna Lynn Sletten.

As the Snow Fell is a sweet, heartwarming contemporary romance about love and second chances. The narrator has a pleasant voice and does a nice job.

A sweet, heartwarming romance

I loved this story. Simply stated, it gave me everything I wanted from a romance. The characters were well developed and the plot believable. There was only one thing at the very end that I found far-fetched, but it was a minor detail and didn’t detract from the story. I found myself rooting for Mallory and James, two truly good people who were meant to be together. The tension waiting for these two to finally admit their feelings drove me to clean out all my closets so I could keep listening. There are few books I re-read or listen to again, but this will be one of them.
The narrator did a beautiful job playing out the roles and her natural voice was very pleasant.
I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a feel good romance.

Didn’t care for the “reader”. Sorry! I never find fault but this time I must.
