Just how far is a mother willing to go?

When a mysterious note arrives for six months pregnant Dr Eliana Hughes, she begins to doubt every aspect of her life - from her mixed feelings about motherhood to her marriage to Martin, who has become distant in recent months.

As the person behind the note escalates their campaign to out Eli’s husband as a cheat, she finds herself unable to trust even her own instincts, and as pressure builds, she makes a mistake that jeopardises her entire future.

Elsewhere, someone is watching. Someone who desperately wants a baby to call their own and will go to any lengths to become a mother - and stay a mother....

I think this was one of my favorite reads on here. I didn't think it would have a good twist but it did. I loved it

This is a good domestic thriller. I listened in a day! I did get really annoyed with the main character Elliana. She just made so many stupid decisions in the book! But all in all it was good.

Don't let slow start fool you! This is very twisting! I don't want to say to much! Listen and enjoy!

What should I saw this is a must listen to!

Nothing earth shattering. Real crazy mom obsessed with her child, scared to be alone, would do anything not to be. The story is well written and the narration is good.

Pretty Good

This narrator was so bad I had zero sympathy for the protagonist. I understand the need to express excitement during certain periods of the story, but come on talk about over acting, zero to sixty to mania to numbness in a 10 second span. I wanted to kick her in her shins.

horrible narrator

While it’s not necessarily key to the primary plot line, late pregnancy loss is definitely a recurring theme in this book. From the perspective of someone who has experienced this first hand, it would’ve been helpful to know this going in. Otherwise I found it entertaining and a good listen. Like others have mentioned, if you listen to these types of books often it’s not too hard to guess the punchline early on. Another trigger, on a less serious note is the that during the narration of one of the characters you can hear the moisture in the month of the narrator to a distracting degree. Hearing her swallow her spit was pretty annoying.

I couldn’t stop! I on to the next! These are so gripping!! My first was Forgot me not, #2 was Ask no Questions, then This one Apple of my eye! All within a weeks time. The next I’m on to is The liar’s Daughter! After that Her name was Rose. Can’t wait. I hope Claire won’t stop there. I’m addicted
