Anne of Avonlea is filled with humor, drama, and a little bit of everything else, making this book a must-listen!

Distracting narration; excellent book

The narrator made Anne sound like Moaning Myrtle from Harry Potter—whiny and very childish. She also mispronounced so many words (e.g., “sewing” was pronounced “suing”). The story, of course, is excellent. I recommend enjoying it in another version.

Voice and accent

I’m pretty good at understand people with thick accents...but man... it was hard to catch this one. But then the voices she did for the characters... it sounded like she was making fun of them! Picture Moaning Myrtle from the Harry Potter movies.

Bad voice

This women's voice gave me a head ache and she changes here voice for each person, I could not listen another second.

Awkward narration

I really wanted to listen to this book but I couldn’t get past the narration. The voices for the characters were annoying and the accent just didn’t fit.

Always listen before buying

Loved the series, Narrator gave me a migraine within 30 seconds. Cannot finish this book. Pity.

Terrible voice

I should have read the reviews.
I listened to Rachel Mc Adams read Anne if Green gables and loved it. I bought this thinking it would be similar but it’s terrible

English is not the narrators first language.

I like the story very much but the narration was distracting. Her voice for Anne was childish and sounded like she was mocking her. And English is not the narrators first language so words were mispronounced and the rhythm of sentences very odd.
