Publisher's summary

The key to raising your kids to be happy, healthy, well-adjusted adults lies in letting go of your anger once and for all.

Do you feel like every little thing your children do gets on your nerves?

Have you reacted in ways you aren’t proud of—like spanking and yelling—because you just didn’t know another way to get your kids to behave?

Are you tired of feeling stressed, frustrated, and angry all the time, and want to overcome these emotions once and for all so you can be the parent your children deserve?

If so, you have come to the right place.

Parenting is hard. Like, really hard.

You have appointments to remember, practices to shuttle your kids to, recitals to watch, dinners to cook, dishes to wash...the list of responsibilities is seemingly endless.

And while you are entangled with these struggles of life, your children keep yelling and bickering the entire time, making you want to scream “ENOUGH!” and hide away from the world.

What’s important to remember here is that you are not alone—many parents lose their temper.

In fact, one survey showed that 90% of parents admit to yelling at their kids from time to time.

Does this make it right? No.

But it absolutely means that you’re human.

And as a human—who is also a parent—you have the power to put a stop to this once and for all.

What you need is proven ways to manage your anger in order to become a better parent—all of which are outlined within this book.

Helps You Take Control of Yourself

Father of 4 here ... if you have kids you know how much they can test you. And the more kids you have, the more you understand each can do this is a different way, and that each will respond differently to your parenting, requiring a unique approach. This book was very helpful in that it further equipped me to keep cool, maintain my calm, and lead my kids as they misbehave -- without me compromising being the dad I really want to be.

Self-help hit

Rocky Hunter delivers a masterful self-help hit to the jugular, delivering all of the tools one could hope for when combating the seemingly impossible (but as you’ll see, absolutely doable) reactionary based behavioral patterns of anger.

Brewer demonstrates excellent narration that keeps the listener engaged in an inspiring and empathetic bubble of self-help goodness.

There is no need for reaction-based behaviors that don’t serve us or our families. There is, however, considerable need for us to do the work in adopting healthy response-based programming such as demonstrated here.

Do the work outlined here! You wont regret it!

I wish I had this book earlier in my life...

This book by Rocky Hunter is a much-needed guide for parents like me who have struggled with anger in the challenging world of parenting. Chapter 2, titled "Please Stop Yelling—The Unintentional Victims of Anger," struck a chord with me. It made me reflect on my own experiences as a parent and the times when my anger affected my children unintentionally. I recalled an incident when I lost my temper over a messy room and saw how my child felt hurt and scared. This chapter provided valuable insights into the impact of parental anger on kids and motivated me to work on managing my anger better.

The narration of this audiobook was clear and empathetic, which enhanced the overall listening experience. It is a valuable resource for parents seeking to transform their parenting style from reactive to mindful and build stronger connections with their children.
