Very Atmospheric

The novel was very atmospheric. The hurricane elements are well integrated into the story. Unfortunately, the author spent too much time on the persona of the protagonist and his family issues and too little time on the mystery or any suspects. I would try another Lister novel b/c even though the mystery part suffered, he is a gifted storyteller.

The narrator was quite good. I enjoyed his acting and his voices. I would listen to him again.

BTW. It drove me nuts that one does not know the ages of the 2 daughters. So, I will share that Johanna is 7 and Taylor is 3 (Chapter 20). The girls were introduced at the get-go, but no ages, so the listener could not visualize them until quite late in the story.
