Publisher's summary

From New York Times and international best-selling author J. Kenner comes the highly anticipated fourth novel in the fast-paced series including Release Me, Claim Me, and Complete Me. This sexy, emotionally charged romance continues the story of Damien Stark, the powerful multimillionaire who's never had to take no for an answer, and his beloved wife, Nikki Fairchild Stark, the Southern belle who says yes only on her own terms.

It's a new chapter in the life of Nikki and Damien Stark....

Though shadows still haunt us, and ghosts from our past continue to threaten our happiness, my life with Damien is nothing short of perfection. He is my heart and my soul. My past and my future. He is the man who holds me together, and his love fuels my days and enchants my nights.

But when tragedy and challenge from both inside and outside the sanctity of our marriage begin to chip away at our happiness, I am forced to realize that even a perfect life can begin to crack. And if Damien and I are going to win this new battle, it will take all of our strength and love.

AS STORMY SEAS RAGED & ROCKED THEIR WORLD..

...they anchored each other, loved deeply, held on tight and never gave up.. or gave in.

It was so good to visit with Nikki and Damien again and to see what wicked challenges Fate had thrown at them this time.. and I wasn't disappointed because yup even in the almost idyllic and almost perfect world of the Starks.. trouble is never far away. What with Damien's secrecy over something mysterious and Nikki's volatile feelings over her Mother and worry about x (sorry no spoilers) Nikki has to fight Damien, fight her Mother's legacy, fight to land a big client, fight jealousy, fight to keep her control.. and fight her need to self-harm. But the one thing Nikki wasn't fighting was her undying love for, and faith in, Damien.. along with her relentless lust to have him.. anywhere anytime.

Unfortunately there was trouble in paradise for these two strong yet vulnerable characters which took its toll and was very moving.. but they eventually came through it even more deserving and determined to get their HEA's.. and they so did in this bitter-sweet book. Love was never the issue with these two unforgettable characters.. but they were their own worst enemies sometimes. Fears, hopes and dreams - love, sex and passion - pain, loss and tears - drama, angst and secrets - anger, regrets and insights - apologies, forgiveness and second chances - loyalty, trust and love - happy days, happy nights and happy ever afters. Friends, humor and happy couples were there too as foes were fought, mysteries were solved, questions were answered and loose ends were skilfully tied up. And thankfully J. Kenner isn't quite finished with Damien and Nikki yet because Hold Me should be out in May folks. Told from Nikki's POV and I thought the narrator was good.

Worth a credit? Yes abso-freaking-lutely.. and it made me want to listen to their turbulent, emotional and sexy journey all over again.. because at the end of it all they've made a formidable, loving and loyal couple.

One of the best books she has written since...

One if the best books since she has written Complete Me. I live the family they are creating together and absolutely agree that family is way more than biology. Great job J. Kenner!

Nikki and Damian!

Nikki and Damian have endured so much to be together and have reached a point in their lives where they are experiencing success in their careers and their relationship couldn’t be stronger. They are about to face some changes in their lives both personally and professionally which will bring them both happiness and pain. Nikki’s trust is shaken but as a result she proves to herself that she is much stronger than she thought and Damian is always by her side and knows what she needs even if she doesn’t know it herself.

Nikki and Damian are soul mates. As they face their obstacles they once again prove that their love is strong enough to overcome anything or anyone that threatens them and that they are stronger together than apart. I thought the narrator did a great job at bringing out the emotion of the book.

A great story

I love this series. I’m glad Nikki finally deals with her mother. Another man enters Nikki’s life a good guy. There are some tragic moments that are handled as well as can be expected. I look forward to more of the story. Sofia Willingham is great narrator as usual. I high recommend this audiobook.

Loved This book!

Could not put this audio book down. The Narrator started reading this story with her voice sounding different than the last book of Nikki and Damian, but she got her footing and read beautifully!. I could feel Nikki's pain of what she went through as I went through it yrs ago. Nikki and Damian's love for each other is just as strong as ever. I felt like reaching into the audio and breaking her mother's neck! Everything that came out of her mouth made everything about her! Cannot wait until the next book hoping it will take up where Anchor Me left off! I would so recommend this to everyone!

Woman who makes stupid mistakes

This woman was so needy that I felt irritated while listening to the audio book. The story was good, and the woman was competent in business and the narrator did a good job.

Omg!!!!

Sophia didn’t sound the same this go round but that’s okay. I wish Nikki would really let her mother have it just one time.... and the cliff hanger.... brilliant. I’m excited for whatever is next.

Predictable

Unfortunately this book was predictable and a bit boring. The reader's performance was OK, but the tired 'rich guy saves the damsel in distress' is a worn out theme.
