Publisher's summary

They took her from me, and for that, I destroyed the world.

They took her from me, and for that I killed everyone.

To escape the Hell I made I sacrificed much, my own life even, and with the power of my magic, I interrupted a summoning spell, substituting myself.

I only made one mistake.

I forgot to check what gender the body was, but if they think that I will marry a man to carry on the family line, well, they have another thing coming. I didn't spend the past 400 years of my previous life studying magic for nothing.

Warning: Contains explicit sex scenes of the yuri variety as well as blood and gore, but mostly just yuri....

Interesting twist on the reincarnated hero genre.

This is an interesting twist on the reincarnation genre that's so popular right now. In fact, it's kind of a combination of reincarnated and summoned hero. In either case, it's not quite the same stuff that's published lately.

The characters are interesting, and Jacqueline Torrance does a wonderful job narrating. There did seem to be some minor wording errors, but whether that was a problem with the script, or a performance error is unknown. That brought my score down from five stars to four, but that really was a minor issue. I gave the story five stars because the story itself was well-written, and the world was well imagined and fleshed out.

In short, I really enjoyed listening to the story, and have no problems recommending it.

Funny and interesting

A different take on the reborn in another world genre. Where the power of the protagonist is not gifted by someone else but gained through work and prior knowledge

Interesting World, Infuriating Main Character

I really liked the world this book is set in, the many different creatively named fantasy races, the school and the many worlds ideas. I'm not much a fan of main characters who think they are better and smarter and more talented than everyone else. The man stuck in the body of a woman wouldn't have worked very well for me if not for the narrator, who transforms the character much more believably than the writing would normally allow. I love the many different voices for different characters.
