When Hope Beiler got baptized into her community, she knew that she was committing to the Amish faith for life. It worked out well for her. She enjoys her life in the community, even if she finds she has little time for herself. With a large family and triplets only six years old, she spends much time helping her parents.

She finally speaks up when she realizes that the only way she might be able to court anyone successfully at this rate is to move communities. She would hate to move so far away just to have a chance at having a familye of her own.

When she starts to court Paul Schrock – the bishop's son – she thinks she has hit the best combination. He's sweet, smart, funny, and caring.

Until she realizes that someone else from her past has come to the community. This man gives her shivers every time she sees him, and he will not stop until she courts him.
