Really Lackluster Narration

The story may be good, but the narration makes unbearable. Great read to put you to sleep.

Interesting mix of historical cultural story, numerous relationship challenges and difficult adventures

The historical story and characters remained interesting for the entire book. Racial issues, challenges to women’s roles some in the U S and some in Mexico

Masterpiece full of courage and heart!

One more brilliant book by Nathan Harris and I will dub him my favorite author. Absolutely loved this book. Great story filled with adventure, history and love. The narrators were perfect.

A Dual Story

Though the story is interesting and, at times, compelling, some of the narration in the audio version was distracting to me. The male narrator is excellent and his characters are consistent. The female narrator really confused me. Her character voices, especially during the last chapter, varied and Coleman’s voice was identical to that of Isaac. Kind of distracting. Her accent did not sound genuine. I much prefer the author’s first book, The Sweetness of Water, to this one.
