Publisher's summary

"The devil made me do it" is a phrase that will never pass my lips. Why would it when I have Delores, my undiagnosed autoimmune disorder, to make all my decisions for me? (Yes, I named her myself since the doctors couldn’t do it for me.) A get together with friends? Delores says no. I’ll have my prescheduled daily afternoon fever and fatigue at that time.

My two biggest regrets with having Delores direct my fate? One, my family thinks my illness is all in my head. And two, I set the love of my life, Peter Reynolds, free from my anchoring tether so he could fly. I never thought I’d see him again, but five years later, he’s soaring in the limelight as one of the most talked-about defensive players in professional football. Oh, and did I mention he also happens to play for the team my boss just assigned me to as a social media manager?

Meanwhile, nothing much has changed for me. Delores still bosses me around, and I’m still hopelessly in love with Peter. What’s a girl to do?

Sweet contemporary romance

Amanda is another captivating contemporary romance in author Sarah Monzon's Sewing in SoCal series. I have enjoyed a couple of other books by this author and this one was just as enjoyable. I like the relationships of Amanda's group of friends and a second chance at love story is one of my favorites. The author portrays well the difficulties of dealing with auto-immune disorders and the masks that people often wear to show a brave face to the world. Peter, Amanda's love interest from long ago, was definitely a swoon-worthy hero! I enjoyed listening to a complimentary copy of the audiobook and was not required to write a review. Stevi Incremona did a great job narrating Amanda's story. Readers who enjoy sweet romances with a little grit to them will not want to miss Amanda.

Another Stunner from Sarah Monzon

This book is hands down my favorite in the series! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Sarah Monzon for writing about a heroine with an invisible, chronic illness. And for doing it so well ❤️

Unconditional love at it’s finest!

While I have enjoyed this series tremendously, Amanda may be my favorite of the stories. The unending and unconditional love and support shown in this story made my heart swell with happiness.

Sweet story

I have been waiting for Amanda’s story-she’s intrigued me from book one. I really liked how this story touched on a hard topic but was able to be told in a sweet, tender way.

another great book by Sarah Monzon

I definitely could relate to Amanda as I too have a autoimmune disorder. Even though my disorder does not cause me physical pain, I have suffered emotional pain. I have Alopecia and lost all my hair at age 52.
