Second book not for family listening

I was happy that first book was clean and very entertaining for a family to listen to together. This book gets pretty descriptive in a couple of places - so beware of the audience around you.

want to keep listening but all the female characters irritated me.

Overall I liked the story. But the female lead seems to me to get less intelligent and weaker by each chapter. I want to keep listening but I am beginning to dislike her character. But, I want to know how it ends.
