Publisher's summary

The journey of survival continues in the second book of the best-selling Lone Survivor saga.

Four months ago, an EMP brought the power grid down and crippled the country, leaving ferry pilot Landon Gray and off-the-grid teen Beth "Bluebird" Sullivan alone on a North Carolina mountain, scrambling to survive. The unlikely duo escaped death, but are far from safe.

With no power, internet, phones, or transportation and over a thousand miles from his home in Castine, Maine, they set off on a perilous journey using the Appalachian Trail. But as chaos forces the worst of society into their path, they must fight to survive.

All That Survives is the second book of the Lone Survivor series, a post-apocalyptic EMP thriller series following a group of survivors as they fight to stay alive after an EMP destroys the nation's power supply.

Great Second Book

Really liked the first book and was excited when the second one came out on Audible. I was not disappointed with this book nor the wait. As with the first the Characters were well thought out and there was action through the whole book. The narrator did an amazing job and I was taken immediately back to the story and the people. Great addition to your library well worth the time and money.

My Love Continues for the 'Lone Survivor' Series

After listening to Book 1, I plunged right into Book 2. I received a free audiobook review copy of Book 2, at my request, and I started it immediately after finishing Book 1. This is a voluntary review of 'All That Survives' of Jack Hunt's LONE SURVIVOR series.

If you haven't read/listened to Book 1 of this series, 'All That Remains', get that as well. It's a great listen. It may be somewhat helpful if you read that before starting 'All That Survives'. In Book 2, we continue to follow Landon and Beth on their way to the Appalachian Trail. They discover things will not go smoothly for them in their attempt to reach Maine. Meanwhile, in Castine, ME, Landon's wife and son are having struggles of their own, along with their fellow residents. We meet a new character, Sam, who is a Sheriff's deputy trying to keep his small section of society from collapsing into anarchy.

Just like in Book 1, the action gets going right away and doesn't let up until the end. I liked the introduction of Castine, ME's government officials, so that we get a different perspective of what goes on when civilized behavior falls to the way-side. The struggle to survive forces people to make hard choices. This book is chock-full of edge-of-your-seat action, nail-biting suspense, and believable characters. Jack Hunt has delivered a thrilling story of the apocalypse.

Miles Meili as narrator, has hit it out of the park again. His performance adds emotional impact in the midst of chaos. Once again, there were moments that I could picture the book as if it were a film. Both Jack Hunt and Miles Meili are at the top of my 'watch for' list.

Very highly recommended.

My Favorite so far!!! I LOVED this one!!

OMG! This book is so much better than book one. I feel it’s because we already know many of the characters so the story can just start right away! I am flabbergasted at all that happened in here. I do like it takes place on the Appalachian trail. That does include some fun moments of Beth picking on Landon. Or his freaking out moments over bugs/spiders. Mostly though this is filled with action and suspense. At the end I was like “No No Don’t let him come!!” But they didn’t listen to me. I can not wait to get my grubby little hands on book 3!

Jack Hunt did not disappoint me with this story. He brought his A game and set the bar high. I did listen to this on audio and Miles Meili again did an amazing job! Multiple characters and he does a good job putting feelings into the characters.

Loved these books

Hunt's survivalist tales are among the very best I've read. In all honesty, however, I have to admit that I haven't read a ton of them, but there is a reason for that: the ones I've tried to read are so absurd as to make it too difficult to suspend my disbelief for the time needed to enjoy the story. Hunt, however, has laid out his books in such a way that I don't have that issue. I don't actually know if it's because the scenario is more realistic or if he's such a good storyteller that any glaring flaws escape my notice. Either way, they are great reads, and Miles Meili MORE than does them justice with his narration. Class A work for both the book and audio!

Good entertainment

All that Survives. .
Entertaining post apoc book. book 2 in the series and is Jack Hunt's usual high standard.
Plenty of action and a few survival tips woven into the story.
Narration is excellent and in perfect tune with the tale.
I received a free copy of this audio book at my own request and voluntarily leave this honest review.

Overall excellent, just a minor quibble.

I really appreciate that these novels area shorter than many. There isn't a lot of extraneous, unessential detail. Not a lot of repetitious, tedious second guessing your moves and rehashing something over and over ad nauseum. The story moves along at a good clip without feeling like you are missing any details. I do have one thing I'd contradict as for one of the survival issues. When Landon gets blisters Beth pops them. I'd always been taught, that if possible, it's better to leave the blisters alone. They protect the new forming skin below and provide a sterile environment for new skin growth underneath. Once you pop them you expose them to the environment and possible infection. And one other thing....always listen to your dog!

excitement from start to end

This book is intense from beginning to end. The story takes place in multiple areas switching back and forth leaving the listener on edge. If you're a doubter of prepping you may not be after this story. This is a story that can be listen to far more than once. Narration was very well done and the inflections spiced it up. Jack hunt has another masterpiece.
