Publisher's summary

Who will survive in the fourth and final book in the best-selling Lone Survivor saga?

After a hellish journey on the Appalachian Trail, Landon Gray reunites with his wife Sara, only to learn of her infidelity. But that’s only the beginning of their troubles.

Although all is calm in the coastal community of Castine, Maine, death is at their doorstep. As tragedy strikes close to home, and Mick Bennington manages to turn the tables on them, the small town they worked so hard to defend is now on the verge of collapse.

Without the support of militia and residents turning on one another, the survivors have no choice but to leave. But leaving isn’t easy when the family is divided and danger lurks around every corner.

Will the Grays pull together before it’s too late, or will Castine fall into the hands of a tyrant?

All That Rises is the fourth and final book in Lone Survivor, a post-apocalyptic EMP thriller series that follows a group of survivors as they fight to stay alive after an EMP destroys the nation's power supply.

Great ending to the series!

This is a great conclusion to the series. It winds everything up. The story is fast paced and has quite a bit of action in it. A few surprises as well. I really enjoyed this series and was very happy with it. I did listen on audio. I loved listening to Miles Meili! Thanks for a great series and wonderful narration

Will the Town Succomb to Megalomania?

This book is the last book in the "Lone Survivor" series. Read the other 3 books first. They are well worth it.

Book 4 has shifted the action almost solely to the town of Castine, ME. This doesn't mean there's not a lot of tension and suspense still to come. Who will be in control? Will the townspeople cede control to megalomaniacs or will they assert their own? How has the EMP event affected individuals, both for the best and for the worst? How is the town preparing for long term power loss?

Once again we have plenty of action and suspense. Now that Landon is back in Castine, we see how he, Sarah and Max have been changed by the EMP. There are some nice character interactions when the threat of danger seems to have waned somewhat. But, of course, the threat is still there. The book had a nice balance between characterization and action. There is a satisfying conclusion that, while not exactly happy forever, is at least happy for now.

Jack Hunt's well-written, well-plotted book, interpreted by narrator Miles Meili, makes me glad I requested a free review copy of this audiobook. The book shows what a talented team they make.

The preceding is my voluntary review.

Highly recommended.

Great Story

I grew to hate Landon over the course of book two and three. I then realized Landon is actually Jerry Smith from Rick and Morty, the voice, the weakness, the constant pandering to Beth... Otherwise fantastic story!

Great Finish to a Great Series

I was given this free review copy audio-book at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is for the audio copy of All That Rises Lone Survivor, Book 4 by Jack Hunt and narrated by Miles Meili. This was a very good series that concluded with a satisfying ending. I was entertained throughout the series with good character development that held true for all four books. Book 4 tied up all the loose ends and left me feeling there was hope out there for the characters I cared about. The narrator did a superlative job narrating all four books. His voice made the characters come alive in my mind. I highly recommend this series.

All four books could have been one volume.

I think that breaking this story into 4 was like 50% instead of 10%, hmmm?

Emotional, great writing

I got so emotionally attached to Landon, that I got seriously upset with Sarah. I was so frustrated and angry with her that I was ranting in my head while I got ready for the day (I’m normally not an emotional person, at all, so this really surprised me). I don’t think I’d have been able to hold my tongue if I was traveling with her. The writing was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed this series.
