Tor, the stoic and powerful leader of the Rhonar race, is a warrior shaped by loss. Since the death of their females, Rhonar males endure two phases: the Hunger, a desperate yearning for connection, and the Void, a state of emotional numbness. Tor has lived in the Void—until Jane. The mate bond calls to him, but with the treaty still in limbo, he refuses to claim her, choosing duty over desire. His restraint adds a layer of tension to their already volatile dynamic.

🔥 The Story

Tor and Jane’s mission launches aboard a spaceship, but emotional turbulence rivals the cosmic kind. Tor relies on his Florin—a tiny, otherworldly creature with whom Rhonar share a symbiotic bond—to help regulate the overwhelming emotions triggered by his connection to Jane. From Jane’s perspective, Tor is a grumpy, emotionally constipated alien who treats her with cold disdain. But she’s no pushover. Determined to succeed, she pushes back with equal force, sparking a slow-burn tension that crackles through their journey.

💡 What Worked

• 🐾 The Florin creature was a delightful surprise—equal parts adorable and fascinating, adding depth to Rhonar culture.
• ✨ Each Rhonar warrior possesses a unique ability, which adds intrigue and variety to the alien race.
• 🚀 The story delivers plenty of action and adventure, keeping the pace lively and the stakes high.

⚠️ What Didn’t Work

• 🛸 Tor’s emotional distraction leads to a major tactical blunder—forgetting to engage stealth mode and putting both lives at risk. It felt out of character for a seasoned commander.
• 🥊 The climactic fight scene dragged a bit longer than necessary, diluting its impact.

🎙 Narration

Told in dual POV with dual narration, the audiobook features Elle Sonali and Aiden Snow. Aiden Snow’s velvety voice is a perfect match for Tor—deep, restrained, and undeniably sexy. Elle Sonali brings Jane to life with intelligence and emotional nuance, capturing both her strength and vulnerability. Their performances elevate the story, making the tension and chemistry between the leads all the more immersive.

Aliens Temptation- Jane and Tur

This was my absolute favorite so far! Jane and Tur have the best banter with each other and the flirting is chefs kiss. I really wish the rest of this series was available on audio, Aidan Snow did such a great job with the MMCs!

Let the sex games begin!

This installment felt very Flash Gordon, with cheesy villains and girls showing skin. It’s campy fun, as long as you don’t think too deeply on why just two people would venture into deep space by themselves to go after the Macguffin. Yep, another installment where recurring characters appear only at the very beginning and end, just long enough to spackle together a basic premise.

Once Commander Tur and Captain Jane leave their fleets behind, they encounter one after another scenario where nooky is the key. Need a cover? Master and slave. Test of worthiness? Sexual prowess. Because, of course!

I loved the fight-flirting, especially when Mr. Snow was narrating. Unfortunately, in this book, it seemed like he was on for only 20% compared to Ms. Sonali (is that why there are no chapter headings for Tur versus Jane’s POV? They didn’t want to obviously disappoint us?). Additionally, I found myself speeding up for her, and slowing down for him… I wish they were more simpatico on their narration speed.

The last chapter sets up another couple, although I don’t yet see a book 4 out. I’m not sure this series has what it takes to keep me tuning in automatically, but I would be down for at least one more, as long as
Mr. Snow keeps narrating, and as long as I can get them on sale.
