Better than Expected!

I was totally in this for the smut, which was definitely delivered! But the scenes of totally unexpected badassery in between were golden!

loved it

strong, capable female character. I had a moment or two where I started to cringe but the author didn't go to far. overall it was great and the cringy parts added to the story. it was worth a credit.

An Incredible Journey

Narrated by Azalea Blau, this audio took me on an epic journey along with Drifter and Ava. From a crash landing to kidnapping to a rescue and a long journey through the desert, Ava and Drifter’s journey to medicine for Ava’s sister and a happy ending takes a lot of detours, making for a phenomenal story. A new-ish author and narrator for me, but I’ll be looking for more from both in the future.

Another great one!

I loved this book. The audio itself was great. I always enjoy a good Ivy Sparks book. There are a few triggers and *public* scenes in these books.

Alien Seed!

This is an intriguing story with action and suspense. The story is about Ava and Drifter. She works on an alien planet for a mining corporation. Her goal is to provide medical help for her sister. Ava is on the ship when an explosion happens and she is sent to the desert floor. As darkness falls she is attacked by a creature. Drifter, who has been exiled from his tribe. witnesses her defending herself. He fills a connection with her. Just as he is going to help her she is captured. These two find a common ground and connection. The story is good and I love the characters.

Needs male narrator

The storyline was fine; however, I couldn’t take Blau’s male narration, it was dry, robotic, and not deep or masculine enough. Couldn’t wait until story ended for this reason. Hope a male narrator is added to remaining books. I won’t listen to the rest of the series if no changes are made.

A well written female lead

Our hero drifter was honestly perfectly written. He had just the right amount of strength mixed with the right amount of care.
Even the heroine was surprisingly well written. A sad reality of romance novels is that often heroines are overlooked in their complexity in favor of perfect heroes. Ava's shuttle started to come apart and she was still strapped to her seat. she came around, she was in a witch doctor's hut. She started examining her, poking and prodding her. To check if she was fertile! Ava got the idea of what they had planned for her. I like the mouthy girl, hot silent mountain of a man, and adventure galore. But where is the SEX! Half way through the book and nothing. A lot of close calls and a lot of tension. This book was full of twists and turns. If you like aliens and a good story line you’ll like these characters.

A little simple, but I like Spark's Ladies!

Sparks writes some very relatable, strong women. Not "I'm a dude" Marvel Supers, but strong women that other women would see as strong. I like that. And I like that the romantic hero in this book is into that. I guess because a lot of the most romantic women I know are also kind of feral, and I want them to find a man who wants that for their own life. Anyway, anyone a little feisty who needs to remember there are guys who want that should take a little vacation to Ivy Spark's world over here. Again, love the narrator she's chosen for this series!

I so loved this story. There ate some aspects of the story that may not appeal to everyone but everything works out in the end.

I enjoyed reading the first book and look forward to hearing the next book. The narrator’s voice was fabulous and I loved her as Drifter.
