Alexa and Francis were wealthy executives who had everything, except for kids. When he tragically passed away, she gave up hope for being a mother...until she met Vick Miller, a simple family man and a nearly perfect doppelganger of her husband.

She pays him handsomely for his donations to produce a child who resembles her beloved husband. The offers grow more enticing, and Vick’s marriage begins to strain. Alexa wants his genes...or his looks, anyway. She is wealthy, attractive, powerful, and utterly obsessed.

He has no idea she is watching him.

Totally Wild Ride !

The audio of this book was perfect! What a wild story! It will have you saying WTF often. That ending was perfect! I finished in just 2 days because I needed to know what would happen. It will have you saying you can't stop till all is revealed.

If you like stories similar to You and Gone Girl this book is for you! I found it totally skin crawling at times and also laugh out loud funny at times. The internal thoughts of both main characters really made them witty or unhinged in their own respective ways.

I'd give it a small warning for some graphic details to those who are sensitive to that, but it really adds to the creepy level and authenticity of the novel as a psychological thriller.

Sexy Psychological Thriller

Loved Alex Six! I have the physical copy and enjoy the audible version too, but personally loved reading the book aloud to me and my boyfriend. Alex Six is a sexy psychological thriller! This is a book about obsession, wealth, immorality, and devious behaviors from the first words to the last.

The best kind of train wreck!

What lengths would you go to have a child that looked like your deceased spouse? Well, just ask Alex Livingston and she may tell you to check out your local grocery store.

Alex is hyper fixated on having a child, more so after the death of her husband. On a visit to the grocery store, Alex bumps in to Vick and is shocked to see Vick is a near identical twin to her late husband. In a short amount of time, Alex proposes a generous monetary offer to Vick in exchange for him being her sperm doner. Vick, who is struggling in both his job and in his marriage, and deciding this money could help, accepts Alex’s offer not truly realizing what he just got himself in to.

This story is one of a kind. Vince has this way of making you love and hate his characters: you hate to love them and love to the hate them. To be frank, I can’t decide who is more unlikable between Alex and Vick. They both are battling their own demons and are each motivated by selfish means. I really enjoyed the multiple POVs. While it can be a little repetitive, and took some time to get used to, it’s interesting to see how Alex and Vince each interpret their interactions together.

If you’re looking for an out-of-the-box read, look no further. This psychological thriller is VERY bizarre and yet I couldn’t stop listening (I “read” this on Audible). Those are the kind of books I appreciate where my mind is like “girl, no, you don’t need this” but my heart is like “FINISH IT; WE NEED TO KNOW”. Like the bottle of vanilla #iykyk. (I mean, I’m still gonna buy it because I bake a lot, but I’ll never forget.)

Overall, this was an interesting read and I give it a solid 4 stars. I plan on purchasing the book to re-read mainly because I wasn’t a huge fan of the narrator on Audible. I’m not partial to those who “act” out the story mainly because I’m getting their interpretation of how they see the characters and not my own. Definitely add this to your TBR list for 2021.

Great Listen

Great reader and fun storyline. I really enjoyed the change up from the typical stalker/rich kid dynamic. Here the women is the crazy, rich predator and the man and his family is the prey. Alex will stop at nothing to get her man but to know how far she’s willing to take it you’ll have to listen in find out!

Just as good if not better than the print version!

Having read the book twice, I was looking forward to the audio version. I really enjoyed how the narrator switched up his style between the Alex chapters versus the Vick ones.

That Poor Vanilla Bottle

I loved the narration in this thriller. There were some great moments of vocal acting and with a story that's fast-paced and keeps you wondering what will happen next!

Amazing audio

What in the actual heck did I just read?!?⁣

Alex Six is twisted, disturbing and kind of like an R rated lifetime movie that I was here for. ⁣

Alex is a beautiful, total psycho with money at her finger tips that makes obsessing over Victor and ruining lives so easy for her. ⁣

Victor is a disgusting borderline alcoholic pig, with zero sense of what you should never say, EVER, out loud, everything you could possibly hate in a guy. ⁣

I literally hated both of these characters but simply couldn’t get enough of the ridiculousness that occurred and horrific things said by them. They were actually kind of perfect for each other because they were equally awful.⁣

Literally at times was like oof, so glad my headphones are in or people around me would be like WTF are you listening to?! ⁣

THE VANILLA EXTRACT... I get it now🙈⁣

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the pure insanity of this story that made it a binge worthy addictive read. ⁣

The narration of this audiobook was fabulous, the narrator really got into character and you just got the crazed lunatic vibes. I was able to read bits and pieces as well on kindle unlimited! @vincetaplin #alexsix #thriller #psychologicalthriller

Fast, Thrilling and Creatively Warped

Vick has a stalker. But not just any stalker. She is an off the charts psychopath with intelligence and limitless wealth- a destructive combination.

This is not your ordinary vanilla thriller. [if you know you know]. I was shocked and horrified and immediately hooked. I remained hooked until the very twisted, unforeseeable end. Vince Taplin is talented. His characters, though unlikable, are witty and creepy. I loved the time hopping and that we get to see the same scenes from both the main characters points of view. The writing from Alexa’s POV is superbly done. I felt incredibly anxious and rushed and confused at times- all at the well worded intention of Taplin. This book was twisted. Incredibly twisted and I enjoyed it. My sweet, innocent bottle of vanilla will never be the same.

Audiobook Review The narration by Berkrot was so creepy! His version was a great take on the characters. I only wish that there was a second female narrator for Alex’s character.

Wtf in a good way

This wild ride of a read had the most hatable characters and some real Verity vibes. If you’re looking for a thriller that has you grasping both sides of your face with your eyes wide open, this one is for you.

It is extremely f#%!ed up and snarky and therefore NOT for the faint of heart, but I for sure couldn’t put it down.
