Publisher's Summary

Tom Clancy meets The X-Files in Weston Ochse's SEAL Team 666 series starring the Navy SEALs who handle supernatural threats.

When a Senator's daughter is kidnapped by a mysterious group with ties to the supernatural, it's clearly a job for SEAL Team 666. As Triple Six gets involved, they discover links to the Zeta cartel, a newly discovered temple beneath Mexico City, and a group known as Los Desollados, the Flayed Ones. International politics, cross-border narco-terrorism, and an insidious force operating inside the team soon threaten to derail the mission. Forced to partner with several militant ex-patriots and a former Zeta hit man turned skinwalker, Triple Six is the world's only hope to stop the return of the Age of Blood.

Woke SEALs don’t work for me

I don’t want not need lectures on Mexican poverty, American antipathy to natives or pollution while trying to enjoy a fantasy of SEALs overcoming great challenges.

I listened to 57 chapters before saying enough. You may make your own decisions

Unbelievable

...literally. I simply never had an incentive to suspend my disbelief. Seal Team 666?? Never.

meh

Author can't keep the sex of one of the characters right. Kept switching the dog from "him" to "her" and back. Not sure who does the editing, but I would have thought the narrator would've noticed but he didn't. Narrator was OK, story was ok. the errors kept me from liking it, like repeating the same sentence immediately after reading it. You can tell it was a different take, but it happens at least three times.

Great story. Bad editing.

Loved the story. editing had errors. repeated paragraphs etc. Narrator obviously not familiar with subject matter or quite a few pronunciations.

Meh. An ok diversion

Nothing groundbreaking or truely original. It is an ok way to pass the time. Does capture the feel of a close nit unit

Great story

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes because it is book with many layers

Who was your favorite character and why?

Cannot pick just one the characters are so well written their personalities are very unique.

What does Paul Michael bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Everything you live the adventure because of Paul Micheal and his excellent performance of the story

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No mostly because so much happens either emotionally or physically that you feel; your mind needs time to analysis it.

Any additional comments?

If like me you listened to the first story and didn't like it don't give up give this book a chance. Most of all even though these men are involved in a story about with a supernatural theme, this book has made me think about all the men and women out there keeping the world I live in safe. God bless them all.

Seals, guns, monsters and magic

first I want to say I am really sick of WOKE BS and I saw a few comments about it being in this book. I never noticed any in it. on to the review.
good listen, right up my alley. I will be listening to more.
I say this here not so much aimed at this author but at all authors. action scenes in movies don't work like they do in books. while a 5 minute foot chase thru mexico in a movie can be exciting in an audiobook it's just boring. 30 seconds max would be my preference. the action scenes in this are pretty good but the foot chase was a great example of what new authors need to NOT do. I can't imagine going thru that chase while actually reading it
most authors I read/listen today don't seem to be able to separate movies from books.
but other than that I loved this
