Concise But Precise

Good Narration. Clear with a nice tempo.
A nice recap of the comeback of Richard Nixon. Was my Commander in Chief. Have a Special Regard for his grit and intelligence. The book didn't shed any new light on the subject but cataloged his post presidential years concisely and precisely. A recommended listen.

Best Post-Watergate Book so far

Not counting Monica Crowley's extraordinary work "Nixon in Winter," which deals primarily with Nixon's last years, this book is perhaps the best post-Watergate book yet. It reviews the totality of the two decades of Nixon's rehabilitation following his disgrace.

Compared to Michael Endicott's excellent "After Watergate," Pipes' book is the superior work. This tome details the thoughtful process Nixon undertook to rebuild himself in the eyes of the world. Assembling details, many known, many newly revealed, the scholarship is sure to enthrall anyone interested in how Nixon regained a vital role on the world stage.

Remarkable!

Congratulations to both author Kasey Pipes and narrator Walter Dixon (the best I have heard) for the courageous, compassionate, and factual account of President Nixon’s rebuilding of a great life. Of special interest should be the “life lessons learned” from this special servant leader. Thank you for sharing this final portrayal of his story.
