Publisher's Summary

When Sarah is abducted by aliens, she never imagines she’ll meet the love of her life in outer space.

Sarah is a young woman adrift: she’s recently left school, she lives back home with her geologist father, and she’s avoiding her recently deceased best friend’s mother without really knowing why. When a crystal her father gave her begins to glow and make sounds, Sarah’s world is turned upside down. The crystal is a beacon, and aliens are here to take her away from her home. Far away.

Aboard the alien ship, Sarah meets a telepathic alien she names Henry. They share their stories and begin to fall for one another. Though, perhaps Henry isn’t what he seems. That’s what Gar, an alien whose species is at war with Henry’s, tells Sarah when he saves her. But Henry isn’t letting his new captive go without a fight, and Sarah and Gar find themselves marooned on a strange planet and on the run.

Which alien is telling the young woman the truth? And how does the old crystal her father gave her tie into an alien war? And which alien will Sarah choose when the time comes? And most importantly, what shocking surprise awaits her on an alien planet light years away from Earth?

KU Edition reader and Audible listener...

This novella is a good start to a story, but definitely only the first part, as you can no doubt guess from the length of it. The characters are mostly believable, the female fluctuates a bit to much between strong and intelligent, into easily influenced. (And sometimes...just easy! LOL) The story is a fast paced, quick read.

Great Listen!!

Good storyline and enjoyable. I enjoyed listening to this book. Good listen, great narrator and good characters. Everything flowed nicely. I liked it a lot. The narrator occasionally confused me but after a while I just moved beyond it and got into the story. I think if the narration had been by both male and female it wouldn't have been so confusing. But otherwise I loved it!

Aliens

A short first in series.
A little unbelievable beginning of a story with a lot of sex.

OK Beginning

Aeon Captive by Amelia Wilson is the first in an alien romance abduction series. The story starts out introducing you to the lead heroine, Sara. Then really captures your interest once her crystal necklace, that her geologist father gave her, suddenly starts humming & glowing.
Soon after she gets abducted & held captive by several groups of aliens. Some of these parts lost me a bit, they were just too unbelievable. Responses to situations from characters seemed robotic. The story is also very short and seems to end abruptly!
Overall, it was not too bad for a series starter. I just wish the characters held a little more depth and passion and were more unpredictable.

Aeon Captive

Fast-paced short story about a human girl abducted by aliens and taken on a journey through space and to other planets. Sarah gets the experience of her life when she gets abducted by the Aeon for the gem necklace her father gave her. But when she gets taken from the Aeon by another alien race, she discovers things weren't exactly as they seemed. But the Aeon aren't going to give up easily leading to a dangerous adventure as Sarah and her rescuer fight to survive. Ends on a cliffhanger, but still a great listen. The narration was okay, but I could have used a little more distinction between the voices.

Slow start but picked up in second half

I had a hard time finishing this book, but once I got past the halfway point the plot pickednupnqnd the characters became more three dimensional. Ends in a cliffhanger and I'd listen to book 2 to see where the story goes.
