Sobering!

What made the experience of listening to Adventures in Forgiveness the most enjoyable?

Various quotes from other authors that interact with the story lines. Also appreciated Linda's desire to share how the Lord met her in the darkness of her journey. Though most of her friends apparently deserted her, her God never did.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Adventures in Forgiveness?

The testimony of Dr. Lorraine Day near the end of the book.

Joanna has a vibrant reading style and invests herself emotionally in the material.

It brings to light an epidemic in ministries of all kinds. Linda's experience may be a "poster child" on a road littered with similar stories. It's a travesty to Christianity and it's potential in a world that increasingly rejects the Bible and anyone who teaches from it.

Gripping story

Linda's story really pulls back the curtain to reveal the many jaw dropping and painful moments that she has had to endure from people and an institution that is known quite differently from the outside. It also reveals God's love, provision, guidance and protection during the most difficult times of her life. And I enjoyed the narration, it really brought the story to life and causes you feel the heartfelt issues of the moment. Good job!

Amazing story !!

For every abused woman, and for every truth teller that can't be bought off. For every believer who relies on the faithfulness of God and trusts in the Lord through trials. This is positive reinforcement.. but it is a cry for help and justice and for continued prayer to survive this ordeal!! God Bless Her!!

Absolutely Incredible!!

This book really pulls you in. The torment that Linda went through is so horrendous. She has so much faith in the Lord, and He has definitely protected her. I wish she gave more details of certain events but I do understand that there's a lot of personal stuff that shouldn't be discussed.

There was one downside. Chapters were out of order and some were missing so it threw off the chain of events. Overall, this is an amazing testimony.
