Story
Humans have kept honey bees in hives for millennia, yet only in recent decades have biologists begun to investigate how these industrious insects live in the wild. The Lives of Bees is Thomas Seeley’s captivating story of what scientists are learning about the behavior, social life, and survival strategies of honey bees living outside the beekeeper’s hive - and how wild honey bees may hold the key to reversing the alarming die-off of the planet’s managed honey bee populations.

Susan Knilans and Jacqueline Freeman are in love with bees. So in love that they observe their bees - their work, communication, seasonal activity, and more - for hours each day. And with observation came realization: When bees are allowed to live as they would in nature (with smaller hives, no chemicals, freedom to swarm, and little-to-no human interference), they will thrive. Accordingly, Knilans and Freeman have spent decades perfecting the revolutionary practice of preservation beekeeping, guided by the simple question, "What do the bees want?"

Story
Most of us are aware of the hive mind—the power of bees as an amazing collective. But do we know how uniquely intelligent bees are as individuals? In The Mind of a Bee, Lars Chittka draws from decades of research, including his own pioneering work, to argue that bees have remarkable cognitive abilities. He shows that they are profoundly smart, have distinct personalities, can recognize flowers and human faces, exhibit basic emotions, count, use simple tools, solve problems, and learn by observing others. They may even possess consciousness.

Story
Game theory means rigorous strategic thinking. It’s the art of anticipating your opponent’s next moves, knowing full well that your rival is trying to do the same thing to you. Though parts of game theory involve simple common sense, much is counterintuitive, and it can only be mastered by developing a new way of seeing the world. Using a diverse array of rich case studies - from pop culture, TV, movies, sports, politics, and history - the authors show how nearly every business and personal interaction has a game-theory component to it.

Easy to listen to but not helpful
If you're already a beekeeper this is not advanced tips or things to learn. Repetitive information. Doesn't tell you how to get into these advanced areas of creating your business just lists possible things to do. Still up to you to figure it out. Felt like I wasted my time.

No advanced beekeeping advice
Not worth the listen. More about leaving the bees alone than any good advice. A lot of opinion about “natural beekeeping”. Some crazy claims. Not for the new beekeeper.

Sounds like this was written by AI
There doesn't seem to be a cohesive message or flow to this book, just a lot of "informative" lists. I got as far as the list of tools you might need to build a beehive and lost interest. If not AI generated this sounds like the author was trying to reach a word limit so just dumping in whatever they could find. It's certainly not "advanced" and there are much better texts about "natural" beekeeping. Better to listen to one of Thomas Seeley's books.
