Modern women - who use psychotherapeutic antidepressants at a rate never before seen in history - need liberating now more than ever. The truth is, feminists don't know what liberation is. They have led us into a very boring dead end. Once those fictionalized stereotypes are out of the way - whether they're things that make you gag or things you think look pretty fun - Christians can focus on real women. What did God make real women for?

Gratitude is a choice. If we fail to chose it, by default we choose ingratitude. And once allowed into the heart, ingratitude does not come by itself but with a lot of other seedy companions that only succeed in stealing joy. To not choose gratitude - daily and deliberately - is more costly than we usually realize.

How important is holiness to you? How much thought, attention, and effort do you devote to the pursuit of holiness? Is it your priority and mission to be holy? Nancy Leigh DeMoss teaches that we must make it our constant, conscious ambition to be holy. Just as an athlete sets his sight on winning an Olympic gold medal, so we as believers must focus on the pursuit of holiness. And the reward that awaits us brings a depth of joy that far outweighs a fading gold medal; it is the humble pleasure of hearing the father say, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

Story
What does it mean to be a woman? The current cultural ideal for womanhood encourages women to be strident, sexual, self-centered, independent - and, above all, powerful and in control. But sadly this model of womanhood hasn't delivered the happiness and fulfillment it promised. The Bible teaches that it's not up to us to decide what womanhood is all about. God created males and females for a very specific purpose. His design isn't arbitrary or unimportant. It is very intentional and he wants women to discover, embrace, and delight in the beauty of his design.

Elisabeth Elliot was a young missionary in Ecuador when members of a violent Amazonian tribe savagely speared her husband, Jim, and his four colleagues. Incredibly, prayerfully, Elisabeth took her toddler daughter, snakebite kit, Bible, and journal...and lived in the jungle with the stone-age people who killed her husband. In this authorized biography, Ellen Vaughn uses Elisabeth’s private, unpublished journals, and candid interviews with her family and friends, to paint the adventures and misadventures God used to shape one of the most influential women in modern church history.

These are her secret thoughts about those events, written as only a reflective English professor could.

Christianity isn’t about following rules, it’s about a relationship. The rise in popularity of this phrase coincides with a growing disinterest and misunderstanding regarding the role of God’s life-giving, perfect law in the Christian life. Rather than the source of joy it was intended to be, the law is viewed as an angry god’s restrictions for a rebellious people.

Publisher's Summary
New book from best-selling author Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth!
Known for her wisdom, warmth, and knowledge of scripture, Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth has encouraged millions through her books, radio programs, and conferences. Now she's back with a legacy work on Titus 2 and its powerful vision for women.
From Nancy:
"Cross-generational community between women is the biblical antidote for being chronically, hopelessly overwhelmed, as so many of us are.
"When older women come out of their protective cocoons to invest themselves in the lives of younger women, whole families and churches feel the blessing. When young moms and singles widen their peer groups to include women who have already braved the same rapids and lived to tell about it, both sides of the relationship are strengthened and grow. We all, in different ways and in different seasons, need to be on both the giving and receiving end of this life-to-life process.
"So I invite you to join me as we look to God's word for his perspective on the character, commitments, and attitudes of godly women - and his prescribed process for helping us live out these virtues not only today, but from generation to generation."

A Thorough Study of Titus 2 women--young and old
I really enjoyed Nancy's detail in breaking down each word of this scripture. I liked the reflective questions at the end of each chapter. I learned much about GOD's expectation for me as a young wife and mom. Also, she gave excellent insights for married individuals, as well as for singles. Great audiobook; easy to listen to!

Challenging for women of all ages and stages.
Wow, what a great dissection and teaching of God's word on Titus 2 for women. This is perfect for discipling woman to woman, discussing what is Christ's heart, and how women can live this out in becoming more like Jesus. Nancy does a great job of asking specific, thought-provoking questions at the end of each chapter to make the information applicable and action oriented. I would highly recommend this to both older and younger women who are serious about discipling or being discipled.

Incredible. Convicting. Blessing.
I am so thankful I started this book at the start of a new year. It’s an incredible reminder as a Christian woman of my responsibility for this year to be a woman who adorns the gospel in every aspect of my life, not just the church or ministry ones. Chapter 8 was especially challenging to my walk.
