Publisher's Summary

In this fairy tale with a sexy twist, she’s a penniless San Francisco seamstress. He’s the king of Italian couture. Who’s got designs on whom?

Boutique owner Kimber DiSanto has seen better days. She’s been dumped at the altar by Prince Charmless, her business went up in flames (literally), and now she’s stuck in Florence, Italy, with an ice-queen stepmother, to try to save her late father’s failing dress shop. Only one thing could make it worse: another man in her life. The arrogant Italian fashion tycoon offering to buy her father’s shop is as rich as he is sexy, and their attraction is off the charts. But Kimber’s not about to get burned again.

Women don’t say no to Matteo Moretti - and certainly not with Kimber’s stinging precision. With all the heat and fury sparking between them, Matteo can’t resist baiting the gorgeous American. His plan? Win her over one scorching kiss at a time.

Kimber tells herself it’s all just a game. That her broken heart isn’t in danger, and that Matteo’s touch does not make her Lady Land dance with joy. But sometimes it takes the fieriest of enemies to turn a fantasy into a real-life romance.

Heroin is the most unlikable woman

The concept of the story is good, but the heroin is the most unlikable woman. Shes an unreasonable jerk who makes stories up in her head and treats everyone who doesn't deserve her wrath, with contempt. How many times can one character say "I want to commit murder"...the whole book she spends time threatening the Hero with violence and it gets super old. I couldn't wait for the book to end....It was a struggle to root for a bully and had to talk myself into finishing the book. I actually wrote this as I drag myself through the last chapter.

LOVED IT!!!!

As usual, J.T. Geissinger has done it again. My first introduction to this author was actually with book #1 of this series. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. It was such a funny, entertaining, intelligent read. Definitely worth it.

Laugh out loud enemies to lovers romcon

I love how witty and scorching the dialogue is. The narrators did a great job bringing her words to life. The Italian accent is divine. This is a panty melting slow burn rom com at its best.

Awful Female Lead

Promising start to a story that quickly took a downhill turn. I’ve read several Geissinger books and she’s a truly fantastic author. A few of her books are at the top of my favorites list...but I’m just over 60% in and I’m calling it quits...at least for a while. This rarely happens but when it does I don’t usually go back and finish because there’s zero motivation to continue. The MFC is unkind, bitter, judgmental, b%$chy and has little to no redeeming qualities that I can find. I literally cannot root for this horrendous character. A perfect ending for this book would result in her jumping off a cliff. What a truly disappointing read. The narration is good but can’t compensate for the story.

gahh!

Gahh! What an incredible way to wrap up the Slow Burn series. This was my favorite of the three and Matteo was definitely my favorite book boyfriend of the series.

Along with this being heartfelt, well written and funny - I absolutely loved the co-stars! I loved Jenner's dry British humor and one liners ("Spill bitch spill!) and I even developed an affinity for Brad in the end.

The audio version of this is definitely worth an audible credit - because hearing Matteo's swoon worthy Italian accent - ovary explosion

Not what I expected

this 3 book series had no ties to each other, which I found unusual. I did enjoy this one, enemies to lovers is not normally a favorite of mine. I preferred the female narrator in this one better. the male was a little harder to understand. yes he has an accent, but the volume and the speed were not equal to the females chapter. since she had more parts, I left the speed set for her, but the volume was difficult, I couldn't turn my phone up any louder, and sometimes I strained to hear him

Loved it!

I don't know what can top 'Melt for You' but this was pretty great too. I loved the narration by Briano Pallino and Mackenzie Cartwright. Brian's Italian accent was so good! The story captured me right away and the slow burn was just right!

This book had just what I needed. The characters were well developed and it took a little turn where I did not see it coming. loved it! Will recommend. loved Mateo's voice from the mail narrator. The female narrator did good with the different accents! Overall, great book.

Loyalisa30

JT Geissinger you’re Fantabulous! I was constantly laughing out loud with this rom-com! Ache For You has me flabbergasted! I loved this so much! Kimber and Matteo were a hilarious, stubborn, and extremely short-tempered coupled with romance off the charts! Although there were many hurdles to overcome for both of them, they were truly made for one another. Jenner, Brad and the Stepmother were great supporting characters that added a fair share of spice to the story. Thanks for this fantastic read!Mackenzie Cartwright and Brian Pallino were great narrators! Loved Brian’s sexy voice!

Hoping the Slow Burn Continues

Book 3 in this series doesn’t disappoint! I enjoy J.T. Geissinger’s twists and turns; just when you think you’ve got the plot figured out, you get thrown for an enjoyable loop. And can we just all agree that the narration from Mackenzie and Brian (growl) was a magical pairing?

Good book

Enjoyable listen, but not as good as the previous two books in this series. Some of the pacing was off and how the plot pans out wasn’t as smooth, but then again the other books in this series were exceptional so they set a high bar to beat. Still far better than most other romance books out there and the characters had good chemistry.

All books in this series are fabulous. From the blurb I didn't think it would be nearly as good as rhe previous two, but it actually almost was.
It was exactly what I needed.

Brilliant!!!!

I enjoyed this book so much! I laughed and I cried! Kimber and Matteo were good for each other because they pushed each other to be better and to open up. Admittedly, they both could have gone about things better as there were a lot of misunderstandings and tempers got in the way, but they made it in the end. Their chemistry was off the charts! I also adored Kimber's best friend Jenner, he had some great lines! I love how it all worked out with everyone in the story, such a great read!

Loved it!

Male narrators voice was divine - he brought Matteo to life. This was a cute take on Cinderella. The chemistry between the characters was on fire and their joking around with each other was fun and enjoyable.
