Publisher's summary

Heaven ain't missin' this angel....

At a fateful New Year's Eve party, Georgina Maverick, a little bit drunk, a lot mired in guilt from her tortured past, trips and falls off a rooftop, tumbling 10 stories to her almost death.

Her friend and coworker, Dexter Bridger, the man she discovers also happens to be her guardian angel, is on the case. He saves her, but he opens an entire can of worms when he nicks her shoulder and turns George into an angel, too.

With the help of the OOPS ladies and some divine intervention from Dex, George is learning how to be a guardian angel in the hope she can earn her permanent wings. But worse? All the secrets that haunt both George and Dex are coming home to roost.

Yet for George, the questions cut far deeper. Why is it so hard to overcome her brutal past and find the thing she's always wanted - peace of mind and acceptance? And how the heck is she supposed to be someone's guardian angel and guide them to emotional safety when her own life is such a wreck?

Who's been lurking in the shadows trying to steal George's wings? Because if someone gets their hands on her wings, guess what? She loses her soul. Forever....

Contains mature themes.

I mostly enjoy this series but…

The girls have accents all of a sudden where I don’t remember it before and that is hard to get accustomed to when you already feel like you know the characters. Also, I missed Nina using cute words instead of straight out cursing.

Love Love Love

I absolutely love all of the accidentally books. Dakota Cassidy is one of my favorite authors. You help but fall in love with all the Oops women especially Nina!!

New accents??

Loved the book as always, but what’s up with the comically stereo typical accents. I’ve never noticed them before, and it was kind of hard to follow who was talking.

Fan...but cinfused

Darnell went from rapper to southern, many Brooklyn accents, very hard to follow. good story as always.. dealing with serious problems with a sense of greater purpose and humor. the humor is missing.
I can only guess a new voice director made the narrator change voices established in prior 19 books... OOPS needs to find the stolen voices

another great story

another great story in the series but the narration was very distracting with the oops ladies suddenly having weird accents. Nina sounds like she is trying to be an extra on the jersey shore. Marty sounds like she can't decide if she is from the jersey shore or if she is a southern bell. and Wanda just sounds odd. other than that the story was great and I look forward to the next one. hopefully without the new weird accents

great story, but …

i stand with sooo many other reviewers in saying, the ridiculous, weird, horrible accents Have to GO. i have nooo idea why Ms Cassidy would let that crap stand for an entire book, but i sincerely hope it doesn’t continue on in the next one. as much as i wouldn’t want to, i’ll have to stop listening, and i’ve already purchased the rest of the series. the accents are grating and they take away from the story. i’m sorry. it was hard enough to get used to losing Ms Mitchell, but i gave Ms Jackson a chance. she really grew on me and i was finally good with the switch. this, however, is just too much

Fun series

I love this series of supernatural accidents BUT this book changes the accents of the main 3 characters, and after 19 books, it makes it almost impossible to listen to. this story is probably one of my least favorite ones, but I really find the accents the worst part.
This is book 21, so I'm guessing you aren't jumping in here looking for a recco, but these are fun, light, and supernatural "meet cute" stories. I love the crafting of the universe and the never ending expanding supernatural family.

Why the accents?

I have listened to this entire series and loved it. This book was a little difficult to listen to because of the sudden change in the characters accents.
