Gabriel Braven is a merman, but he does not believe it.

Gabriel should have drowned twice in his life, but he survived. Casillus Nerion, his beautiful merman savior, tells him the reason for this is simple: Gabriel is a merman. Long ago, a Braven ancestor fell in love and had a child with a powerful merman. This child did not inherit the Mer gifts, but Gabriel has.

Despite seeing inexplicable physical changes to his body when he gets wet and having trouble breathing when there is plenty of air, Gabriel’s head tells him that Mer, like love, do not exist. Ironically, both beliefs are being tested at the same time, as he tries to tell himself that the pounding of his heart when he even thinks of Casillus is imaginary, too.

But whether Gabriel believes or not, Casillus tells him one more devastating fact: the Mer live forever, but unless Gabriel goes into the ocean with him in four days, Gabriel will die.

Can Gabriel accept the truth before it’s too late? Can he open his heart to the merman that saved him? Can he believe Casillus’ words over their mental link that the Mer will never leave Gabriel? Or will he deny himself Casillus and his true nature until his last breath?

Loved it

Great book, kept my attention all the way to the end, amazing audio delivery, loved it. Will be reading again, every chapter was received amazingly do recommend you give it a read.

The story is intriguing and full of wonder.

The story plot is catching. The characters, and their stories and own personal details are perfect contrasts to the story

Format still weird, but the sex is hot

Still confused by the format. It feels like one book split into parts and sold separately, or a longform serial with a planned ending. It's better than volume one, and the love scene and intimacy is hot, so there's that.

I loved the story and the narrator was simply wonderful! I find myself captivated by his voice. this was done wonderfully !!!

Great story.

I really enjoy this series. All of it is lush and intriguing with a touch of the Eldritch.

Good but

It has so much potential. The bond between the two mc is a bit fast but I assume it’s cause the magic so that’s an easy thing to not be concerned about. However, I don’t understand the releasing of such small parts. Part 1 and 2 possibly even 3 could’ve been combined and it would’ve been nicer. They’re only about $5 each so I don’t get why you have to buy individual parts.
I like the world the author has built for the most part. It’s just little things that are annoying. Nothing is ever really explained and you’re still kind of trying to figure everything out and then the book is over.

Beautiful story. It fills my heart. Excellent narration and yummy love scenes. The characters feel so real.

My Head Is Swimming

Chris puts it all out there. His performance captures the passions in the words. X. Aratare's paint such a colorful and emotional picture. I am excited to listen to the next canvass and feel the next Seascape.
