Bless the narrator’s heart but…

I loved the story and the narrator, but if the read requires French, I think the narrator should either speak at least a little, or be able to imitate it AND the accent. His mispronunciation of French words was so very bad that it was distracting. “Voilà” became “Voy-LAY!” The accent sounded more German than French. Very unbelievable. I don’t mean to be high maintenance because he is one of my favorite narrators but the other narrator that reads several other books in this series is clearly a French speaker. He was able to demonstrate the character’s humor and personality.

The story was amazing. This author continues to amaze me with the complexity of her characters and the deep dives she does into very complex and emotional issues. When modern erotica is typically vapid and gratuitous, her books are emotional stories that use erotica to provide context and depth.

Intriguing, Romantic, Sexy and Educational

This book touched me personally in an unexpected way. Having been a victim of similar abuse myself I found this book to be rather educational and emotionally gratifying. The love story between two damaged souls, the abusers, the survivors, the messed up families... Nikki did her homework.

Be prepared to get emotionally involved in this series. There were times I would have loved to reach through the pages and punch certain characters, there were times I was laughing out loud. I was truly into this book.

Roberto did a great job narrating! I was able to feel what/how the characters were reacting to each situation. I was able to tell the difference between each character. Well done!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

I absolutely loved these stories! I found these stories to be very emotional, intense and full of steam. I think Nikki Sex took a hard topic to approach (Child Abuse) and shed new light on he subject. She really gave the readers information to ponder. I like that you get all the stories in this one book. The narration was superb and gave that extra flair to the story, really kept you entertained. This author did a great job with the character builds and plot. I love this author's style of writing. I have read quite a few books by this author and enjoyed them as well. I can't wait to read more of her books! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
