RCMP detective Jack Taggart has avenged the murders of his niece and nephew, but the consequences linger. I enjoyed the story development. There are several areas of intense violence in the story. Suggest parents consider the temperament of young adult reader before allowing them to read the story.

Great suspense novel

Pain and suffering of children is appalling. Agony the rest of us is may never know is everywhere. Solutions only last until the end of the page.

I find the beginning of these books a little hard to get into. But after I'm settled I don't want to turn it off. He really takes some serious gambles. He's obviously brilliant. I loved the show of emotion from the men. Though adversaries, they were really just alike at heart. And snubbed their noses at "their"sides and worked together. Albeit, scared shitless during the whole thing!
I'm enjoying this new found author & this series. Try him.

Jack really makes me want to strangle him.
There's a heavy hand of sympathy for the devil in this one. I'm on to the next, because each one is differently awesome
