Awful male main character

This is the first time, among literally hundreds of romances I've read, that I have heartily disliked the male lead. I find nothing in his personality that is likeable, admirable, sexy, or otherwise attractive. He has no redeeming qualities to the point that I only got about /3 to 1/2 of the way through. I quit reading, because he seemed ready to rape the poor girl. He's every bit as abusive as her horrid grandfather. Maybe he magically turns into a nice, protective, caring gentleman in the end, but from the part I read, he's 100% asshole.

I will be deleashore. other books by this author that I downloaded. This read was as far from romantic as it gets. If I could, I'd give zero stars.
