Acerca de esta escucha
In this brand-new thriller in the Sunday Times best-selling series, Lieutenant Eve Dallas races to untangle a twisted family history while a hostage's life hangs in the balance.
Say goodnight, baby darling.
Three young women have gone missing. They're all pretty, mid-'20s- someone clearly has a type. But no one links their disappearances until the first - Lauren Elder - is found lying peacefully on a bench in a children's playground. She is neatly dressed with a wide black velvet ribbon covering where her neck has been precisely slit. Her hands are folded over a childish sign on which is written in black crayon - 'BAD MOMMY'.
Lt Eve Dallas and her team are brought in to investigate Lauren's murder and uncover the links to the other two women. Can they find out enough about the missing women and unmask their captor before they kill again?

Not Her Best in the Series
This isn't Robb's best in the series but it is still a worthy addition to the series. I actually preferred the nos. 52 + 53 to this one. Again the narration is excellent and up to mark. I enjoyed the basement scenes with Mary Covino and how she stayed strong throughout, always searching for a way to save herself. I'm not sure that I would be so strong. I wish there had been more character interaction between all the major characters as in other books, this was a bit weak on that this time around. The continuing angst over Eve's past and the comparison with cases is becoming tiring, seems to me that Eve has pretty much dealt with all this in earlier books and Robb could move on a bit with it! If there was some reunion of Eve and prodigal relatives or something, now that would be interesting and more movement in Eve/Roarke's marriage. These would make these novels so much more but Robb/Roberts continues to decline to give Eve and Roarke a complete healthy story, just continues to dither around the same issues without forward momentum! I'd really like to read more developing lives of the permanent characters, I mean we see Peabody, MacNab, Mavis and Leonardo moving forward but Eve And Roarke? NO! The mysteries are still good but I want more from these novels than Robb is delivering which continues to disappoint me!!
