The Forbidden Fruit.

Come on. Bite it. You know you want to.

The snake says it’s okay.

Eve says it’s okay.

You’re curious, aren’t you, Adam?

Bite it.

You bit it, didn’t you?

It’s all right; we all make mistakes. Paradise wasn’t all it was cracked up to be, anyway. From now on, you’ll have to make your own way. Just you and Eve and your trusty talking goat sidekick, Phil Collins.

The book of Genesis. How bad could it be? Take a bite and find out for yourself.

Cute, worth the read

Any additional comments?

A is for Adam by Marc Richard is an audio book I requested and the review is voluntary. It is clever and snarky, it may offend those that don't have a humorous bone, and it really isn't a LOL story. It is a snicker here, a smirk there, a smile, a giggle, a moan, and so one. A cute story that really doesn't go anywhere but cute anyway. Worthy of a read and the narration was just right for this book.

I didn't find this funny, just dumb

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

After 10 minutes I couldn't even listen to this. It seemed extremely immature and ridiculous.

Would you ever listen to anything by Marc Richard again?

I don't think so if this is a good example of his writing.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I didn't have a problem with the narrator.

Lmao funny! Adam and Eve in a new light!

Get ready to laugh your back end off. This was hilarious! The view of the start of life in the garden of eden from Adam's view in this comedic romp is great. From how to name everything to the creation amid Adams little "Riblet" eve. The author and narrator deliver a wonderful escape from reality. I miss of missed this in the bible lol

This is a short funny book I listened to all in one sitting. I couldn't sleep so I plugged in my head phones and gave this a listen. My husband who sleeps next to me actually woke up twice because I was laughing... Opps.
cute easy book tho.
But may not be ok for total religious people

Cute new take on Genesis.

This is a cute, humorous sarcastic take on the story of Genesis. Adam is the first person on earth, wakes up with a missing rib. He's just glad someone didnt steal his kidney. Lots of snark and humor follow. The character descriptions are hilarious, and some of the events are just a wee bit different than described in the bible. A fun story for the irreverent, and worth a listen.

Interesting retelling of Adam & Eve.

This story was a parody. It was interesting but "not my cup of tea". If you enjoy biblical parodies give this story a read.

A hilarious and funny short story!

a lot of fun references, my favorite being the twilight episode about the glasses and books, Phil Collins and other multiple funny references. The plot was cute, and since we all l n ow who Adam and Eve are there was no need to flesh them out, but Marc still showed personalities in all the characters, some to fit the biblical scenarios, others were just funny. I love this author's books!

Snarky look at Adam and Eve

This was good but I didn't laugh my ass off. It was enjoyable however.
The narrator made it come alive.

A Quirky,Somewhat Dark, Irreverent Look at Adam

A is for Adam is a quirky, somewhat dark, irreverent look at the Biblical story of Adam. Just imagine the story of creation as if it were happening in today’s world. Adam is faced with not only a naïve view but partnered with a not so naive Eve. Remember this book was written to be entertaining, so do not overthink it. Enjoy the read.
