A Must Read

I wholeheartedly endorse books. America is not a good actor all of the time. It does little to reject uncomfortable truths about ourselves. People or institutions we love do bad things. This war was one of them.

The truth surfaces

I appreciate the book’s compelling examination and courageous honesty about details too often buried when they are better faced for the health of our culture.

Not sure who to blame

I find the praise for this book unwarranted. I did not see much that was new to anyone who has done extensive reading on the subject. However the reading is so overwrought it could be that my perception was negatively skewed by the presentation.

A detailed look at the idea of manifest destiny and it's influence on US expansion.

A part of history I knew little about

The narrative was entertaining, Informative, and easy to follow . The story line was well-paced and engaging . I highly recommend this book.
