Publisher's Summary

Yasmin Olvera has a man problem. Her brother is in jail for murder, her ex-fiance has inconveniently forgotten he dumped her, and someone is leaving dead animals on her stoop. The last thing she needs is another male thrown into the mix, even a strong extra-terrestrial warrior who's crossed the galaxy to aid her.

Benar Q'Mhel has better things to do than babysit a helpless Terran female, no matter how attractive she is. Sure, somebody's after her, and in a nasty way, but does she really need an elite mercenary-soldier to solve her problem?

But as the situation escalates, Benar begins to reconsider the tough-minded Yasmin and her place in his life, and she begins to wonder if love might be the key to solving her man problem once and for all.

Warrior's Touch

This is another good short story in the Pruxnae series. I listened to all but The Choosing and found each book enjoyable. Angel Clark and Matthew Josdal did a very good job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

It was okay...

The narrators did a great job but the story was okay for me. Yasmin needs protection from a stalker and Benar comes to protect his Beauty. He wants his commands followed and has no problem showing Yasmin exactly what he means. This story was steamy but I wish there was more because this story was missing something for me. I didn't like how Benar let the person causing problems for Yasmin get away just to spend more time with her. There were things I liked and disliked about this story but it's a story worth listening to once to pass the time.

book 4- the Pruxnae

This is book 4 and the last (so far) in the Pruxnae series by Lucy Varna. I loved these characters. This is Yasmin and Benar's story. Yasmin is such a strong, fierce character and Banar goes in not giving her the credit she's due. He soon learns there is so much more to her than he initially thought. Great dual narration - I love dual narration! Smooth vocals that bring the characters to life so well. I hope there will be more in this series of alien kidnappers!

Beware what you ask for, you may get it!

This book picks up with Yasmin back on Earth after her best friend, Rachel, and her girls leave for their new home. Benar is a warrior and agreed to protect Yasmin as a favor for his little brother. When Benar meets Yasmin he is not impressed. He is demanding, possessive and rude. It is funny to watch the struggle Yasmin is having with herself over Benar. When he meets her ex-fiancè is when things get heated. Don't forget the local gangster who is also looking out for her. I want to start from the beginning to see what I've missed. This worked well for me as a standalone, but I know I will enjoy it better knowing more.

Rachels friend Yasmin gets her own (short) story.

I liked and enjoyed it, but I did think it was very similar to Book 2 (Alien Mine), but shorter and without the cute kids.
I was pleasantly surprised by the difference/ 'twist in angel' between book 1 and 2, and I would have enjoyed this book more if it would have something different/ unique too.

If you enjoy the series, this will be a nice, romantic addition.
If you're a new reader, I would recommend you start with Book 1 or 2. (they are highly recommended, I really enjoyed this series a lot!)
Narration is excellent (like it is in the entire series)

Surprisingly Great Story

The narrator was really smooth and everything flowed well. The characters really worked even though there was aliens and humans getting together. I thought it was a good quick read.

Protector, Strong Woman

Daynar is the warrior brother to the hero in book 2..sent to protect his mates friend. Thinking she is weak he quickly learns otherwise
To watch the heroine open her heart and the warrior to soften his was pure entertainment. This is a fun, sweet and romantic series. I’ve listen to 4 and each one I’d recommend
The narrators do a great job, but I liked the voice of the msn in book 2 better than 1 and 3
Worth money, credit for sweet romantic entertainment.

I give it 5 stars all the way 😁

Please Note: I received this free copy of "A Warrior's Touch" by Lucy Varna for an honest review.

I absolutely loved this book it's everything I look for in a good alien romance novel which is my favorite genre! The story was short but packed with detail and had my attention from beginning to end couldn't stop listening the only thing is I wish there was more hours to this story! I look forward to listening to the second book in this series and listening to more books by Lucy Varna she is a wonderful writer and I listen to at least 3 audio books a week and this one was my favorite this week 💗 The narrator's also did a fantastic job on the performance of this audio book and will look forward to hearing more books narrated by them. I highly recommend this book if sexy warriors from outer space are something you enjoy reading about 😘

Just did not do it for me!!

This is the first book I have read by this author and I just could not get interested in the story. It seemed forced, even the dialog between the MC. But I will try this author again to see if this is just me.

A Warrior for the Holidays

Title: A Warrior's Touch
Author: Lucy Varna
Format: Audio
Narrators: Angel Clark, Matthew Josdal
Genre: SciFi Alien Romance, military, bodyguard, southern, suspense, holiday
Standalone: Yes
Part of a Series: Book 3 of The Pruxnae (Book 4 if you're counting Thief of Hearts as book 1 - I'm seeing it both ways)
POV: Yasmin, Benar
Steam Level: Steamy
4.5/5

If you've read Alien Mine (which is still my favorite of this entire series) then you'll know Yasmin and also Benar's brother. However, there is no need to read the earlier books, it just makes the later ones more fun. I like the elements of suspense, the push and pull between the characters and the humor throughout. A Warrior's Touch was fast-paced and an enjoyable afternoon listen.

I received this audiobook for free from StoryOrigin. This is my honest and voluntary review.

A good sci-fi Romance

A good fun Sci-fi romance, enjoyable storyline with good characters with a decent chemistry. Part of a series so it would be better to read the earlier books as although the story is standalone the backstory is not. Excellent narration brings the story and characters to life. I received a complimentary copy from Storyorigin and am leaving a voluntary honest review.
