Delight in the most wonderful time of the year with a collection of old-fashioned works from classic authors including L. M. Montgomery, Louisa May Alcott, Charles Dickens, and many more, who invite you to a feast of holiday nostalgia in this beautiful, giftable Christmas collection.

Filled with stories that have been part of the Christmas season for generations, A Vintage Christmas is a unique collection of lesser-known Christmas tales, reflections, and poems from beloved authors across the centuries and makes the perfect gift for the reader in your life. This beautiful treasury will take you back to firesides, simple gifts, and warm family moments of Christmases past as you cherish the timeless truths and joys of the season.

Discover a charming story from L. M. Montgomery about love and sacrifice in a little log house. See Christmas through the eyes of a child in a New England colonial village with Harriet Beecher Stowe. Remember the reason Christ came to earth in the poetry of Anne Brontë. Share with your family the delightful letter Mark Twain wrote as Santa Claus to his three-year-old daughter.

A Vintage Christmas includes stories from Louisa May Alcott, Charles Dickens, Ralph Henry Barbour, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Mark Twain, L. M. Montgomery, and William Dean Howells, as well as poems from Eliza Cook, Christina Rossetti, William Makepeace Thackeray, Joyce Kilmer, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

A Vintage Christmas is a perfect stocking stuffer, hostess gift, or keepsake to treasure year after year. Whether combined with A Timeless Christmas and A Classic Christmas or given on its own, this enchanting collection is a meaningful way to celebrate the season with friends and loved ones.

The old adage I believe is true, “give credit were credit is due”. I would’ve loved to have known who all of the authors were for these great works.

No description of who the authors are for each chapter.

Some of these I liked. Good to keep your attention on the road during the holidays.

Quaint collection

It would be nice for this Audible collection of stories to have a Table of Contents and chapter labels that include the name of the story and author. Currently, they are simply labeled Chapter 22, for example.

A nice collection of lovely Christmas stories and poems that are generally not familiar. My favorite was the letter by Mark Twain (Santa Claus!) to his children. The recording would have been much improved by giving the authors and titles in the the chapter list instead of just “chapter 1, chapter 2, etc”. It would allow the listener to keep track of the authors and titles they are listening to and also be a convenient reference for going back to individual stories to listen again. (I also have the Christmas Classics collection which does include that and is very helpful). Overall it’s a good listen to put you in a good Christmas spirit.
